$3 a gram. It is almost like they are encouraging people to OD at this point. Just watch out for that xylazine shit. Also, stay away from that crap entirely, you got this wooof. I wish benzos were 3 dollar a gram

I have a friend who works in a detox/rehab on the oustskirts of SF, he says it's like $20 a "gram" but the gram is almost all filler. Some dealers are actually selling fent 8 balls now for $50-60. They don't know how much of it is cut with the zines and zenes shit because they don't do urine tests for those, they almost never see people test positive for actual heroin
Fentanyl is fucking crazy. Super high chance of death for a drug with almost no actual euphoria or enjoyable high, has no legs, and leaves you fiending again in a few hours.

The other week a buddy working over in a hospital in the NE filled me in on what I had been missing out on in terms of the dope scene.
He said that nearly half of the users he sees who come in and require detox (not necessarily as their primary reason/diagnosis for intake) have some sort of massive growth of bacteria in/on their heart, which doesn’t pair well with the hellish withdrawal symptoms of fent, nor that of xyl. ^ Endocarditis, where the growth is so large it’s flapping around visible on a conventional test, looking like a soggy condom flapping in the wind. Not to mention holes developing in the lungs — I forget the medical term for what it is exactly, but it’s ridiculous. Something related to a lack of oxygen causing tissue to die due to flecks of whatever endocarditis causing microorganisms making their way into the lungs & disrupting alveoli function, cutting off blood supply, necrotizing the surrounding tissue.
Nowadays more than ever, the dope scene, to me, seems like it’s partly allowed, available for people who want to kill themselves — be it near instantly, or , just withering away — dying from some gruesome complications associated with the life, or whatever else about it.
Nothing cool or fun about that.
Also…sweet, sweet Ron? That’s been mostly longgg gone.

I used to get legit heroin here in Michigan, when I was a kid, and even a couple years ago... and we had straight tar on the west coast in WA when I lived there. In fact, when I went to detox I told them I was a bonified heroin addict, in MI, and they didn't believe that there was still heroin around.
I popped for opiates.. no fent...
Nowadays though... that shit is gone :-(
My plug died in a "workplace accident"... I guess..

Man... thats cuz people are retarded, when they are injecting shit. I try to use new rigs and bacteriostatic water if I can, but Ive definitely injected some pretty nasty shit before... I dont even wanna talk about it.
One time I took this old man home from the bar, cuz he was shiiiiittttty faced. He had just fallen off 10 yesrs sober. We shot coke in his bathroom.
Dude was a legit hoarder... and instead of using fresh water.. he sucked up some NAAAASTY water from a dirty dish in his bathroom sink to shoot the dope with..
I REAAAALLY tried to stop him from shooting that shit.. but he did.
Gross.
The guy had been an airline pilot too. I know for a fact, because Ive been through all of the ground school to be a commercial pilot, and he knew his shit. He knew all about welding too. He was suuuper smart.
Dude probably had a few thousand dollars cash on him too. He's lucky I don't rob people like that..
Anywayyyyz.. It's a crazy world man.

All drug use can be generalized as passive suicidal ideation. People that want to stay clear and cognizant of their surroundings generally stay sober.

I used to get a gram of clonazolam for $20. Went through a few dozen of em, it's a fucking miracle I'm not dead or in jail because I killed someone else

It's all a trap, man.
You head out to San Francisco thinking that it's gonna be all fun and games, and then Dirty Harry turns up to set things straight and you're staring down the barrel of a .44 magnum.

No, it can't, and no, they don't.
There's a world of difference between the "dope scene" that TBA is talking about and more general drug use.

Im sorry that happened bro. Also, you're lucky. As I have said many times... my brother just got off a 7 year bit for killing his friend via IV dope. Accident, of course.
I came so close to ordering that shit. I thank god I didn't, but I fucked around with RC stims pretty bad. Im talkin MDPV, Alpha PVP, etc. I was booting it with meth and coke... random amounts.. up for 7+ solid days...
I literally lost my fucking mind and went on a wild rampage for like 24 solid hours. I caught mtself driving in the oncoming lane on the highway... thinking there was a car in front of me.
The whole time I thought there were police choppers chasing me and shit. I had a car loaded down with all my drug paraphern.. like trash bags full.. I intended to dump it.. once I shook the police lol!
It was the worst experience of my life. I went to a park full of people.. only to realize there was nobody there, and I was just hallucinating... thats not even the half of it honestly..
Had I owned a gun.. I probably would have killed a lot of people.
So now I don't fuck with stims... very much..

Yeah. If you consider "the world" to be equivalent to "two bar stools".
Any drug use is escapism. Escapism isn't necessarily bad, but it is still escaping from life.

San Fransisco is actually an amazing place . The shitty part that you're talking about is actually just a small part of it . I spend allot of time hunting mushrooms all over it and I'd say 95 % is really nice . It's a paradise for mushroom hunting there's a huge misconception about it .

So then you're just describing almost all human life as escapism. The vast majority of humans (and a good many non-human animals) ingest some sort of psychoactive substance, and/or intentionally seek out altered states of consciousness. Even the fervor that typically accompanies being "clean" could arguably be described as an altered state.
Being able to come up with witty one-liners doesn't prove your absurdly reductionist point.

San Fran is cool...ported there for Fleet Week. Lots of hills so much so the sidewalks have stairs, it was a bitch when drinking though. Lots of ass out there as well and good grub on Fisherman's Warf.

Now you're starting to catch on. Freud, being not particularly imaginative, called it Thanatos. Schopenhauer is a better source, though.

That's funny , for the most part the homeless population in San Fran is too malnourished , high , disoriented , physically ill , mentally ill and just plain lacking gumption to get together and carry out mass murder .
