 PCing rye - need help NOW, because doing it now

Alright, I am simmering the rye as we speak. My PC only fits pints, so pints is what I am useing.
QUESTION - How much water goes into the PC? Half full? 3/4? 1/4? 2/3? or totaly submerged. I can't totaly submerge them though because my PC barely fits pints as it is.

You only need an inch of water at the bottom.

I feel quite stupid right about now.
Anyone else wondering the answer to this question? (or people that might be searching)
READ THE PC BOOK THAT COMES WITH YOUR PC!
Mine says fill it with 5 cups of water, so thats what I did.

5 cups is ok. you only need some water on the bottom like allready answered
