new monstrose Trichocereus
    #2876050 - 07/10/04 04:19 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

We recently purchased these plants, they were standing in a batch of Trichocereus pachanoi seedlings. I found them really interesting because of their strange pupping and deformed growth.

Then i remembered something i read a while back about a certain mycoplasma. I did a little websearch and came up with this:

http://cactusclinic.telenet.be/ca_mycoplasma.html

I grafted some shoots so we'll see wether it's witches broom or not (if it is the stockplant should also start pupping).

I love monstrose. They remind me of some strange STD for cacti. I have some nice crested pedro's.
