its maybe a little early, around august to september you will have better luck

i found some in my local park last august/sept. unfortunately some kids had decided to kick em around. they were growing under birch if i remember rightly.

I used to see alot around in aug/sept too... I used to find alot but most of them had been destroyed... I only found 1 or 2 whole ones out of dozens.

We've had a pretty wet summer so far, so maybe we'll be lucky this year...
