My SAB technique sucks, to put it mildly. Everything is turning green, and considering it's on the top, it's clearly my fault.
What can I do to get better at keeping jars clean? I try my best to keep the lids above the opening and be as quick as can be to get agar wedges in.

Don't be quick.
Be mindful. Careful gentle movements is how you work in a still air box.
Have you watched videos online of people using one? A video is worth 10,000 words and all of that.

Random thought, but maybe try doing your sab work in a different part of the house? You could be having a high concentration of contams in the area you're in now.

This should not be an issue if the SAB is being used properly. I use one in the middle of a temperate rainforest, everything around me is steeped in spores of every kind, but I still manage clean work. Something else in the process is not working. It could be doing the work to quick, not letting air settle in the box, maybe he's not venting the PC enough when processing grain. It's almost never the spore load in a room and almost always the technique being used.

First off I want to give you props for taking responsibility, that’s the only way a conscious being can improve.
Turn off fans/ac, the air in the room should be calm. Wipe down jars/lids/everything with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Keep objects elevated off of the bottom of SAB with wire racks. Allow time for air to settle inside SAB, don’t immediately work inside. I’ve heard some recommend waiting 3 hours or more, I would usually wait 30 min or so. Avoid hovering above plates and other mediums so that contaminants are less likely to fall down. Move slowly and deliberately. It’s not a rush, be smooth.
I hated using a SAB and found it quite cumbersome, but I have seen some cool ones that give you plenty of room to work with. I strongly prefer using a flow hood.
I made one with $100 in materials and have had zero contamination on plates since I started. It’s not pretty but it works.

I do a2g. Should I be inoculating jars right out the PC considering the grains are still wet? Or is it better to remove jars from the PC, shake, wait a day or 2, then inoculate? Or does it even matter?
Ive come a long way since returning to cultivation a year and a half ago. However, I still feel like theres a little ways left to go in order to achieve perfection. Trying to refine the very last part of my process so I can hopefully hit 99.9% success rate. Im not quite there just yet.

Inoculate whenever it fits your schedule and don't sweat it too much. I've let jars sit a couple of weeks with no problem

My joke didn’t land. I meant it’s a flow HOOD. Like it’s not a “laminar flow hood,” but an instrument of ghetto flow.

The closer to as soon as grain jars are finished being sterilized that you can inoculate them the better.

It aint easy in the melbreezy, E-Feezy. Nomsayin?
Jokes aside, it passes air particle test @ 0ppm 2um as long as you work away from the edges of the HEPA filter and it does emit laminar flow when the fan speed is adjusted correctly. Is it as nice as a $1000 flow hood? No, but it allows me to do the job effectively and comfortably. I've had zero contamination with around 100 transfers.

Pretty friggin crafty actually lol. I had similar ideas before I adopted PF's hood. My ghetto set up worked fairly good as well.. I mostly hated the small size.
