I am babysitting 2 kids for awhile (so I have 4 running around my house!) and later we are going to a Jazz festival- there is even a Cajun poolside party at a nice hotel we will try to get into...then to a friends house for a party!
How bout you?

Preparing for a canoe/fishing trip right now. Finally getting out with my little brother tomorrow morning. He has to report back to the corps Wednesday so we'll get a couple good days in sight seeing and fishing.
I'm supposed to go to my 5 year reunion today but I think I'll pass. I'd have to get very drunk to handle that situation and I'm not in the mood for drink. In the mean time I'm trying to figure out what is making me so depressed lately.
Oh ya you get my vibes from the Gorge? I sent plenty out to shroomerites

I want to go canoeing! I'll pass on the fishing though. Is your bro travelling to another country? Have a good time. 
I've been really down lately too. I got to see Doc Watson the other night and he is amazing, but his music made me so sad. I still feel that way.
But today is brighter.

He has to go thru his combat and weapons training for 10 days then off to Florida for a year of training for his MOS.
Then probably off to the huge war that will be going on by then.

I scared for my kid brother all the time. I can't imagine what it be like for our family if he goes to fight for oil, let alone him...

Its such a beautiful day here and i'm getting ready to head out to the lake for a family get together! Lots of good beer and tons of good grub!

He'll be an aircraft mechanic so atleast he won't be on the front lines. Doesn't mean he'll be safe or won't see action but it makes me feel alittle better about it. It'll be a year before he can go anywhere's so it is possible things will have settled down over there.
We just have to get this evil mother fucker out of office and I'll feel alot better about my bro's decision to join.

today im going to the U.s open sand castle competition
a 300,000 ppl, 3 day event in my home town.
then off to work in the evening.
then tomarrow, im going to a 'day party' in the next town over.
its a free rave that starts from 12 noon-10pm thats held in a city park.
lots of familys go that bbq & appreciate electronica
and even bring thier kids:

Awesome. I've never been to any cool festival like that. I will though one day. Have fun
I have the day off and I think I'm going to get to go fishing today at around 1. I am just sitting here right now listening to darkside of the moon(classic), had some doobie snacks for breakfast  and just looking forward to going out and taking in the outdoors. I haven't been fishing in a few years...I used to go tons when I was a kid. So it's like I'm getting reacquianted(sp?) with a long lost "experience". hehe I'm such a dork, but yeah that's how I view it. I'm going to be bring some more snacks for the day just so I can enjoy it that much more.

Today, some friends and i are going to see Spder-man 2.
Tomorrow, A local park is having their concert in the park. I think it's Jazz this week and next week traditional music from Scotland and Ireland. I'm more interested in next week music.

I went swimming and then fishing for Smallmouth Bass in the New River. I've been doing a lot of swimming and diving lately, I love watching and learning about fish. I caught a bunch of big river Crawdads to use for bait, but I didn't get any fish. A thunderstorm came through in the afternoon, so I went home and ate the Crawdads instead.
Glad you got to see Doc Watson, I wouldn't pass up any chance to see him.

I went to Portland Saturday Market. I bought a new hat and some incense. Had some good grub. Just got home. Smokin some bowls and drinkin some beers.

No, I haven't. I think I'm gonna go camp down on the coast next weekend and munch them down there.
It's really nice in portland today. Got up to about 73 or so probably with a fair amount of cloud cover.
That was fun hanging out at that Columbia Meadows show. Thanks for the kettle corn, that was good stuff.

Hahaha, I forgot about the kettle corn. My friend is the one who bought that. Good stuff 
I had alot of fun also, god I wish I was in Portland, this god awful humidity here today is killing me. I can't breath, nearly 100% and it's 85 on top of it. FUCK!
