from when i saw mcmans cultivator to finish it probably took about a month? (not full time of course maybe 20/30 hours?? hard to say. most of the gear i had about the place. the perspex was free, the timber was at hand, the steel for the frame was in the yard. the transformer i already had. the fan switch arrangement was made earlier for a composter with steam humidyfyer thingee. it connects to a $2 hairdyer fan for air intake and recirculation. the things i bought were pipe etc. about $100 originally the dome had perspex sides attached and after all the test runs etc. i finally put some colonised substrate in and the heat and humidity melted? the glues, and it fell apart! so i put the timber sides on the lid. now the humidity is harder to keep up! i have had some early successes (if you'd call them that) but am now currently going full steam. just had the first flush of eq second just starting to come up now.

My what a dancy crazy device! You are either a mad scientist or a children eater! I will make sure to warn the kids when I see your portable children oven rolling down the street. "Run for your lives little ones... the evis man has come to cook and eat you." I am not worried though; that mere children oven couldn't fit me. I'll start to worry when you make the huge ass version.

thanks mcman. yes i am glad i took the the time and put the effort in!! it's basically fully automated. BUT there's a lot more to growing mushrooms than just having one of these. right! in the hands of someone with experience and who knows what they're doing these things would be unbeatable. unfortunately i'm not one of those people (yet) i sealed the inside with a black rubber compound. i wanted desperately to take this step slowly and do it properly, but i got sucked in by the local paint salesman with this new product. it works well but i wanted white marine type enamel. i hate it when i'm impulsive (all the time) no humidyfyer.....no-one imports them down under. i did the home work but to no avail. so until someone comes up with a tek that puts out serious humidity i'm stuck with less than ideal. (unless i import these things myself) thanks mcman. any praise coming from you means a lot to me. this thing doesn't have the ideal parametrs that your device offers, but over time i will improve it and get it up there.

Lies LIES, all lies. PEOPLE OF THE SHROOMERY BELIEVE NOTHING OF WHAT MORLAHERE/WHERE SAYS. THIS IS A CHILDREN OVEN AND LIQUEFIACTION DEVICE (yes they do that sort of thing in australia; not so common here in the states) DISGUISED AS A "MUSHROOM CULTIAVTOR." I wouldn't be suprised if this morla person is a witch and also strangely fiends for gingerbread men.
