i know this was probably already posted somewhere on here but what did you use? Was it birdseed to zoodoo? then 50/50? thanks if you post the info again but ok if you dont. my friend still hasnt got around to his print sitting around.

anybody ever have luck with just the dung(no compost)??? This is where AFOAF is at and sees agressive growth but she does not want to f things up either way. She will also be using the cocofiber,cricket guano, wormcastings casing layer avalible from gardensalive.

have you cultivated the cambodian cope cyan? i grew workmans floridian pan cyan which is actually ryches pan trop, didn't notice much difference. but if you want some cambo cope cyan prints i willsend you a few when i get back home.

dude alder, a casing layer should not have anyway near that much organic nutrients. A casing should consist of peat moss or coir and a calcium carbonate buffer (chalk, limestone flour, marl, oyster shells, etc.). as an option verm can be included to enhance water retention. the calcium carbonate is a pH buffer and particle aggrigate. it enhances moisture retention, aeration and texture of the casing layer at the same time providing calcium (an inorganic nutrient that mushroom use a lot of) and buffers pH. If there is a lot of organic nutrients then it will get contaminated fast. sphagnum peat moss is not very nutritional and coir is virtually inert.
