Return of the Nats! Tub trich'd after one flush and just keeps cooking in its final resting place. Absolutely ferocious species.

I saw a post stating the plans for the outdoor bed by OP are here. Can someone be so kind as to direct me to where this is? I am very interested in learning outdoor research. I searched the first 10 pages but did not see any links or design breakdowns.

Itβs on the first page, what he does is pretty standard but you can tweak it for the environment and season.

Man this thread is awesome. I'm up to page 20. Can't wait to read the rest. I remember back in 2009 I had some PF jars sitting around that I forgot about (about three or four?). One day I looked at them after a month or so and was stunned to find a few fully colonized jars. I didn't have a plan. My back neighbor had some farm land, with a few horses. So I hopped the fence and retrieved a few shovel-fulls of fresh horse manure. I put it in the little garden along the side of the house. I can't remember what I laid down first (manure or PF cakes?).
Anyway, again I kind of forgot about it, and then one day a few weeks later I went out and saw a handful of big fat mushrooms. I think I also saw a few sickly looking ones...I'm thinking I missed them when they were youthful and fresh. I ate these mushrooms wet and I had the most laughing, giggly, intense trips I'd ever had up to that point. The only thing more clear/potent was the mushroom goo I ate all through the summer of 2010. As visionary and as clear as the "goo extract" was, it was not quite as happy as the fresh wet mushrooms I ate. Plus, they tasted fair, if not good, compared to their dry counterpart.

Hey, peeps, I've got a couple planters going on outside since my first run went abysmally bad. I also have some grain jars colonizing and I can see that at least one of them has a nasty contaminated patch at the very top, so I expect to be filling up more pots outside soon
I've put some bark chippings on top of the existing ones to buffer the soil moisture, do you figure it's a good idea? I'm worried the pins will be too weak to push past them and/or that they're blocking light too much. I was also wondering if there's some soil mixture that's the best. Right now I got the spawn sandwiched between some regular garden earth on the bottom and CVG on top. IDK, I'm sort of winging it.

Just cvg, soil or compost is fine but a loose thin layer of wood chips wonβt hurt, at least for maintaining moisture anyway, and donβt worry, theyβll push through as long as itβs not too thick and dense a layer π just be aware that the oils in certain timbers are anti fungal and have specifically evolved to basically kill any competitive fauna underneath their canopy, most pines and camphor laurel come to mind although a lot of psychoactive fungi also love pine such as P Sub and Amanita, your basic cubes wonβt do well though.

Tamp pin says the outdoor season has started. So far I got a pot of tamp, a pot of subtropicalis, a pot of zapotecorum, a pot cyans (wavys), a pot of an Indian WL I forget the name of, a pot of spent Pan cyan and a single cake pot of a triched out pan cyan.
Doing another zap pot today and some cubes soon. Got more tamps, subtrops and pans colonizing as well as some cubes and a bunch of empty jars from all the pots I already made.

Nothing but some myc breaking the surface in my other pots but this "spent" tamp pot is plugging along. Definitely still a bit chilly out here

First outdoor harvest of the year, this was buried after 4th flush.
The tamps are drying up, I put another bag over it and fingers crossed.
Got like 13 pots going, got 5 more today and they'll be filled up in the next few days. Still need more
