So I let my wife help me today after I soaked my rye for like 20 hours I started to boil it and I got busy helping my son and ask her to turn the stove off after the time went off and to tell me, she turned it off and let it just sit on the heat and didn’t come to get me so maybe a half hour went by before I realized and now my rye will stick to my hand and my hand feels slimy and then sticky and have zero clue if this rye is usable still should I toss this in the trash?

I bet if you let the outsides dry off real well it’ll be fine. Maybe pick out some of the burst grains so they don’t make things anymore sticky. If it really is too starchy you can probably give them a rinse but then you would really need to let em dry off.
I’m not sure tho, I’m bet someone who it’s happened to before will come along with some better input.

Useable? Yes. Difficult to work with? Also yes. You can still use it as spawn but it may clump together and be difficult to break apart when you shake after partial colonization.
Do you have more than 10% bursted grains? Thats about my cut off to take the loss and start a new run of rye. After PCing you will probably end up with more burst grains, too.

Not too many are burst even after PC for 120mins After it’s cooled off they took some shaking to break up I’m going to give em a shot I’ve got a ton of SSLC that they can drink up thanks for the advice and I would say they way under 10% burst

As others have said, let it dry real well and do the TP test.
Throw a handful on a section of toilet paper and lift it til it's vertical. Only one or two grains should stick. When you get to that point it's dry enough.
If you've never prepped rye before it should appear on the dry side.
