Just curious I was seeing a slight grayish growth on a few cakes in the terrarium. Pinning has just started with no brown caps yet so I sprayed with h202 solution, now the cakes have a small bit tinge coming through like bruising and the box has a very strong smell of shrooms.....you know the smell. Did I do something wrong? Is this bluing normal after spraying with h202 solution? Will this get rid of the grayish looking junk. Humidity was very high and will remain that way unless I can figure something out. Now what?
Depending on how strong the peroxide solution was, it could certainly cause bruising. At this point I think you're going to want to 'wait and see'. Personally, I'm not a big fan of treating young baby pins with peroxide. . .though I understand trying to nip a contamination situation in the bud. Give it a few days, decent air exchanges, and report back. Good luck!
