Overnight Colonization
    #28690999 - 03/08/24 12:40 AM (10 months, 4 days ago)

Good day, I've this very low quality inoculation project I am sure is going to fail (Non sterile), and it has been very quiet until it overnight covered the entire outside surface of the container, and is HOT to the touch. Psilocybe Cubensis Golden Teacher is the variety.

I am quite certain this is some sort of contam, since every other, sterile culture has grown at a significantly lower rate. Regardless, it smells good.

Opinions?

That amount of overnight growth with the added heat is a telltale sign.

So I imagined, the bottle was quite calm for ~4 days, with minimal growth, and now it just exploded.

I'll keep it isolated (already was) and observe it, just for curiosity sake.

Seeing some microbial life in there, and the hyphae is gray-ish, pretty much confirming it is mold, likely a type of cobweb mold due to how quickly it grew.
