Today I received mine from www.cactusplaza.com and I am very pleased with them. Give them a go if you're from Europe.
Their shipping was fast, the plants are healthy, with lots of big leaves and well established roots, and they threw in a couple extra for free. And a big benefit for people like me is that their website is in English, unlike a few other places that I unsuccessfully tried to order from .
I'm going to give them a few days, and then get grafting (peyote, san pedro and ariocarpus fissuratus). I can't wait to see how well they turn out!

I have one growing outside and just rooted a small cutting. I should have some cuttings available for trade one of these days, maybe by the end of the year. Lots of damn spines so keep your tweezers handy. I saw a place in the usa that sold them for $3 but don't remember the name. Do a google search, that's how I found them.

any problems shipping live cacti to the states from europe as long as it isnt peyote? customs might not allow live plants to cross the border. what do you think?

Isn't there a guy called Bob Smoley (sp?) in the US who sells them, and is quite well recomended?
I don't know, maybe I dreamt it..?

PS - I couldn't wait any longer, and have grafted onto two of mine. An ariocarpus and a pedro. Pics soon...

PPS - From what I've heard about the growth rate of these things, I will soon have more than I have room for, and will be able to supply cuttings, hopefully.

I would never try to send or receive a live plant over the border. You need a phytosanitary certificate for starters and that costs money. Then, they have to go through quaranteen and usually end up sitting a long time and could die. I've heard stories about people who ordered plants and a month later, after spending considerable $$, they get a dead plant for their trouble. It can be done but that would be a last resort. Seeds are a different story and usually no problem at all. Has anyone tried mesa gardens?
