These jars failed to grow healthy mycelium many years ago. After that, I left them to sit for some time to see what would happen. I also sought some revenge against contaminants. Weird things started to happen over the years, and at some point, I believe contaminants drowned in their own metabolites. The substrate, which was once rye, underwent a transformation into various kinds of esoteric substances. A few days ago, I decided to dispose of them, but accidentally flipped one, and some liquid spilled through the lid hole. I almost puked from the absolutely worst smell ever. Enjoy my jars.

I got some Mexicana jars that are going through the same thing. I believe they were first inoculated in 2019
