Not at all, I was generalizing. Discipline a cat, who wins? Discipline a dog, who wins? (not the beating kind of discipline, people who do that should not be a animals guardian) Ever seen a guilty cat?
We are talking about domesticated, "pets" right?
Also a Dog is not a wolf by a long shot, that is why there are laws against owning a dog that is over a certain % wolf. Also if the DNR ever catches your dog chasing wildlife outside of you legally hunting, it gets put down.
Very few breed dogs will survive without humans and wolfs do not hesitate to kill rover even when a human is present. Best trick is when the pack sends a female out to entice Mr. fluffy for the kill. Dogs will be much easier for the wolves menu item if that day comes. There is a good reason why people hate wolves that live in the sticks.
Cats are hypersensitive and very, very, territorial, they know when something is off particularly your mood, especially when you are tripping. They have more neurons than dogs meaning they have a bit higher state of figuring things out. The common house cat is also the most ruthless killer in the animal kingdom. A cat will eat you after you die long before your dog will. Not because it hates you but because cats run on far more instinct impulses that have not or cannot be breed out than a domesticated dog. Closest you'll get to a dog with a cat is the ragdoll cat taylor swift loves so much.
As I said I was generalizing, I've been through over 20+ cats and 4 dogs in my life and never ever seen a cat crawl on it's belly when it has done something you do not approve of. Let alone have to let it out so it doesn't piss and shit everywhere. I would only own a dog again if I needed it to work or hunt.
My cats snuggle and sleep with me every night but they do not take any shit from me without a fight and demand mutual respect for the relationship to work and it feels rewarding. Domesticated dogs are just sluts and easy to love IMO.

Dogs have been hanging around humans so long the smarter ones start to naturally get a feel for when you are tripping and understand that you are. Or, I am just tripping and think this...

I believe that dogs are empathic to human emotions, which is why they get emotional when you are tripping, sad, happy, angry, etc.
Cats are as well, but in a more subtle way.

When tripping, i either follow the cat or the dog follows me. The cats always leading me into trouble, the dog is pretty good at keeping it away.

I remember once taking some good MDMA years ago, and although I mostly kept to myself, the cat I had at the time responded strongly to my general presence...she was extremely engaging and friendly toward me. We bonded quite a bit. The morning after the cat behaved as if nothing had happened and I felt a bit fucked. I had this cat for a long time and never experienced anything like it again. Good cat. Admittedly I am more of a dog person...but when I see a dude who is really bonded with his cat, I get it.
I’m super close to my dog. She is undoubtedly my best bud...and she is always entertained & aware when I trip, if only because she has seen it enough times now to get a kick out of me getting goofy and shit. She’ll watch me like she’s watching a funny movie, straight up. She’s part coyote or wolf or something wild, a stone cold killer that just so happens to love me to death. I guess she is like a cat in a way, except with a decidedly more interactive, canine vibe.
In general, I would say that I am an “animal person.” I like all of ‘em.

Ive seen it with my cat too.
One time I took two hits of acid and my cat was acting really weird. Hes a chill cat most of the time, but that night he was more "wired" and stimulating, being very affectionate with me in a sort of "manic" sort of way.
Im a firm believer that animals like cats and dogs can pick up our mental "vibes". Probably some kind of psychic thing going on.

Dogs have a noticeable "personality" (I know they are not a person). Dogs are much more fun to me. They are more in tune with people and loyal to their owners, unlike cats. I could go on, but cats to me are just...there. Yes, they play with you (more as kittens) and not at all when older, but they also seem to lack any loyalty, or any discernible personality in my opinion. Cats also generally do not listen to commands. These are just a few reasons that I prefer the company of a dog over a cat.

We have two cats in the house and when I first started journeying I vividly remember the first time "coming up for air" to use the bathroom, and both of them were at the foot of my bed just curiously watching me peak out from behind the veil. Was abnormal behaviour for the both of them.
I remain pretty composed (not falling around or acting weird... Although I'm usually alone) but even though most times the room is warbling and I'm experiencing some visual distortion [including my face and all of the plants/wood] the cats remained the same. Their faces, their fur, their eyes. Most notably, it seemed like they were "surprised to see me" in that realm/space... Kinda like "wtf are you doing here!?". I've always wondered that these lil fuckers astral project or travel in another realm throughout the day, but noticing that they look exactly the same [although the surroundings and everything around me was distorted] has me convinced that that's a space or frequency that we vibrate into but that they frequent.
During the latter parts of my journeys, and afterglow, they're always super cognizant of my head space and are extremely loving. On one of my more recent field trips, the little one literally spoke to my heart while laying on my chest and looking up into my eyes with a "papa, I love you stare" while reaching her little paw closer to my face. It was the first moment like that in 5 years.
All that being said, haven't had a dog in a minute. Don't have issues with them, but cats are the guardians of this humble abode 🦁🛋️
