Well the 3 shoeboxes I harvested yesterday are out of the dehydrator. Just over 2oz dry bringing me to a total of 2.5oz for the 4 shoeboxes. Not bad first flush for my first attempt at Pans.
Guess it's time to knock up a few more grain jars and start a second run.
Now I just need to get up the nerve to try them...

Congrats. @RockingRobot! That's friggen awesome!
I know what you mean about trying them, haha. I've been very intentional about dose with Pans.
Beautiful work, thank you for sharing!

I didn't get a reply on this, so decided to leave them be. It's looking promising, despite no casing and grown in a tub exactly as I would cubes.
Hoping I might get to try some in a couple of days!

Yeah you definitely killed it dude. I mean you already have had subtropicalis so itβs nothing crazy. Just start with a half gram for mild visuals. Itβs a walk in the park!

Nice pans, Janus62! I prefer to take fresh, raw pans straight from the cake. In my experience, it's incomparable to the dried panaeolus. The effect is so lovely. For a manageable trip, 8-10g of raw pans is the way to go. It's equivalent to 0.5-0.6g when dry. I just chew them well and drink some warm water. Nothing more, just all natural.

I've yet to eat them fresh! But it's been on my mind.
Thanks for the dosing guidelines Bra.
Will probably try Bisporus wet first. It seems to be my spirit mushroom atm

Thanks for the suggestion Bra. I was thinking of fresh tea because cubes used to make gag. Do pans taste less grim?

Cyan's remind me of the smell of choice edibles. Part of me just wants to munch down on handfuls of them they smell so good.
We're also eating far fewer of them.
I've given them to people that can't stand the taste of cubes and they're fine.

I just ate one tiny one last night for the first time while harvesting. Tasted like a radish which surprised me a bit. Was such a tiny feller that I didn't think I would feel anything. Definitely got that LSD pretrip excited come up feeling then it pleasantly faded away.

Yeah they really surprised me.
I've been pretty full to be honest since that 1g dose. A few dried Tamps here and there to help me rest but that's been it. M
As full as a good dose of like Ayahuasca for people experienced with that one. Not as weird but yeah.

My pleasure. I believe that tea and hot water might disrupt the natural magic and disturb the primordial shroom spirit, so I prefer to consume them in their natural state as created by Mother Nature. I harvest and eat them, then drink some warm water to flush the flesh and any aftertaste residues down. The taste is somewhat neutral, with slightly fruity and earthy undertone, reminiscent of raw village cheese in a way. I don't mind the taste at all. I'm grateful to be able to consume this sacred substance. Compared to cubes or sclerotia, the taste of fresh pans is pleasant. I would definitely eat more of them sometimes simply because I love the taste, it evokes a sense of nostalgia and someting ancient. I'm content with any taste knowing that I'm taking the sacred medicine.

Blue Springs Red Spore. Waited too long to harvest I think. Such beauties.

I havenβt had any success cloning any of my fruits so I decided to try taking some myc from the fuzzy feet.

I tried searching the forums... but does anyone have a "history" breakdown of pan cyan strains/descriptions? Given cube differences, I am assuming that not all pans are the same experience.
I'm wanting to get started with them and am suffering from decision paralysis. Seems like top runners are TTBVI/MiB/Estero?

One of me favorite breakdowns from Jake Oncid (its a little old, but good info): Jake Oncid about Pan dosage - different varieties
Anecdotally, I'd say BVI (same as ttBVI) is probably the best entry to Pans because its soooo aggressive, its also tested the most potent in recent cups.

Pan cyan Wild Coast Africa is amazing. Pan Tropicalis too. I loved BVI so much. Such a nice bright, kind and potent shroom. BVI was very bright, WCA was kinda dark and cosmic. Both very potent. I love them all.
