Really beautiful Clamps! They look so different from the beauties Ekabpils has growing, I wonder if that is genetic or environmental differences?

This is genetics first of all. It seems zapotecorum has promising potential on strains variety. I have two strains now and they look very different.

This and the Subtropicales threads and EXOTICs threads warm my heart every time I find the time to visit shroomery. The focus and progress here is amazing. When I was hyping exotics back in 2019 I never thought that we would eventually have threads like this with so much success. I have some exotics cultures colonizing CHOIR/VERM jars, but I'm still too stupid busy with my career change to really dive in. My lack of time is why I am currently focusing on Sclerotia producers in bags of WBS. Maybe in the next 6 months I can get some stuff going.
What is extra special about this thread is the new varieties/strains of Zaps that have been unearthed since this thread started. I think it would be a good idea if we made a post in this thread covering all the now common varieties of Zap so newcomers can see what phenotypes have what general characteristics. Lets create a Zap list together! I will start by listing what Zaps I have and where they were from:
Zapotecorum Strains that I have: (no prints currently available, I gave 'em all away two years ago) -Zap Jalisco collected by Alan 2012. Prolific pinner(search my history), plate pinner -Au Mystery Zap, Stubborn pinner -TCO's Barrare Zap. I think it starts with a Ch? Extra abort prone -Muliercula from Captain Future, Stubborn pinner but likely my fault for not having cooler temps
@Hindsight do you think we could add some sort of list to the first page of this thread with all the current known strains? Maybe update it once a year or w/e

I created this in my journal, I like the idea of tracking known varieties.

Yeah my humidifier ran dry in the last day or two so the fruits crisped up on the block. Better halfway dry than rotting I suppose. I don’t think they will print all that well at this point.
