Storing mushrooms after dried and powdered

Hi there! I have a big amount of mushrooms that might have gone bad. They were all good. I stored them in the fridge in an airtight container but it seems like something was dripping on them and they might have gone wet. This is my personal fridge so it might not be a good mix.
I can only think of two options to avoid this in the future.
One option is not putting them in the fridge at all and just keeping them in a dark room in an airtight container. The problem with this is that I live in the Caribbean and the weather is really hot, especially in the summer it goes up to 89F.
The other option is getting a new fridge that's very small and keeping it in my office. I hope a small executive fridge doesn't take too much electricity but if It'll save my mushrooms It'll be worth it for sure.
What do you guys recommend for me to store dry powder? And does it make a difference for storage if it's a fine powder or not?
Thanks a lot!

The fridge has temperature fluctuations which is most likely where your issue came from. Either capsulate the dried mush and vacuum seal the capsules and store in glass if needed or dry the mush and seal in a jarnwith desiccant.

I have stored dry powdered mushrooms in vacuum seal jars for years with no detectable loss to potency. They are shelf stable in hot temperatures as long as they are not exposed to moisture. Some of these jars have been exposed to >90f temperatures for months in a garage in the desert. Keep them dry and sealed in a jar and they keep for a very long time.
As Derrayld said, the fridge is actually likely to cause more harm than good due to condensation causing moisture exposure.
Technically, when they are powdered, there is more surface area for oxygen exposure so they are more vulnerable to loss of potency. But if they are kept very dry and vacuum sealed, the loss will be nearly undetectable over a very long time.
