Help! Why so small?

Hello I am growing golden teachers and I just harvested the mushrooms that had ripped veils. Attached is a picture and a dime for comparison. Why are these such small mushrooms? Is it genetics? I am using shoeboxes with coir, gypsum and vermiculite. Dimensions 8X12

Tell us more about the grow itself! What did this strain look like on agar? Can we see the grow environment? Etc.
The more you can elaborate on your entire process; the easier it'll be to possibly make a connection to the result.
They also look kinda--- squiiishy? I see a lot of splitting stems.
More pictures of the mushrooms too please! Ideally without shadows cast.

I have a grow tent with a light on 50watts. There is a circulation fan and humidifier running all day. There is a crack under the closet that allows for fresh air. Also I leave the zipper partially open so it doesn’t get too humid in there.

Where is that humidifier oriented?
It wouldn't happen to be sitting above all these raining down on open tubs would it?
Also-- was this a spore syringe?
Has it been isolated on agar at all?

Short story:
Skip the tent and automations for your next grow and compare. Way too wet, the caps look like short to bacterial blotch.

The humidifier is sitting on the ground and my tubs are on racks above it. The humidity is directed away from the mushrooms. This was a spore syringe bought from (vendor name removed). I do not use agar at this moment in my growing career.

Hmm... Considering that you're growing cubes which requires MUCH less Oxygen than gourmets like Oyster/Lion's Mane. I'd second the notion of ditching the grow tent-- or taking out the humidifier.
Typically you only use a open air grow tent(Martha) for high O2 species. Those guys need the space to breathe whilst simultaneously high humidity.
The shrooms look waterlogged.
I'd also highly recommend you jump balls deep into Agar work. It's fun and lets you personalize your growing experience more.
