Pre-medication for body aches/chills on shrooms?

When I was coming up on shrooms last night (5 grams of Golden Halos), I got body aches and chills that felt like I have the flu. My neck and back got very tense and I had to crawl under a blanket and do deep breathing. This has happened several time to me. This usually clears after about 90 minutes. I was wondering if pre-medicating with Advil, Zyrtec, Tylenol or anything else would help to ease these symptoms when coming up? Anyone have a similar experience and find a way to help with this body load? Thanks

*Yoga (*stretching) * meditation (anapanasati, shikantaza, or, any color/flavor you like! [ie. conducive/skillful with respect to one's aims]) *breathing 'exercises' *Exercising... in general
*Jacuzzi / Hot Tub / Warm bath or Shower *Ginger & Chamomile * Warm, comfy, fuzzy (or unfuzzy) blankets / clothing
I find a mix of the above in various different ways and proportions as beneficial preparatory practices both for before one actually ingests a or some psychedelic substance(s) -and- also beneficial if continued as per needed ~ adjusting in the moment ~ while tripping / *if appropriate.
Until you find what may sometimes work for you under certain conditions, circumstances, and situations?
Experimenting with ~ whatever you may ~ is part of the fun of it all, imhoe.

I had a similar experience two days ago. I ate some wet fruits for the first time and had extreme chills and neck back and arm tension which made things very uncomfortable for some time. I think vaso constriction is partially to blame... Some suggestions here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26836004. please post if you try any of these with success.

Good advice The Blind Azz!
I usually keep a couple of tissues with me as I occasionally do get a runny nose or other cold-like symptoms on the come-up.
Might even try some Emergen-C drinks and/or cold lozenges as well. Might help.

That's all part of the experience of coming up on 5g. Take less next time or learn to ride the waves, it doesn't last forever.

If you take something besides, a plain old cube that actually has different amounts of chemicals in it, you can find out what does not give you those bad side effects I like the ATL7
Source labeled: "Galindoi/ATL#7" Aeruginascin: 1.1 mg/g Norbaeocystin: 0.6 mg/g Baeocystin: 1.5 mg/g Psilocybin: 9.0 mg/g Psilocin: 3.0 mg/g Norpsilocin: 0.4 mg/g TOTAL ALKALOIDS: 15.6 mg/g
Aeruginascin: 1.1 mg/g it self is very euphoric and cubes donβt contain any
If you want to end a trip in less than half hour try TRAZODONE HYDROCHLORIDE it is generally prescribed as a mild sedative and a mild antipsychotic

I would agree with some of your post. (somewhat) Cubensis aren't the only psychedelic mushrooms around, luckily. There's multitudes of different psy-fungy with various ratios of the usual major analogs psychoactives in different proportions / ratios out there.
Finding one or some that sit well with you and you trip well with usually takes some experimenting ~ but doing one's homework insofar as one can - regarding what one ingests - can make a world of a difference, esp when put to the taste-test. Also, cultivating some 'good one's'...< however, that bit about 'good one's' is partly subjective and still remains to be seen ~ until either lab tested and or ingested a few times to figure out which is to one's liking [w/ tactful discernment in tow to help figure for it so] via cloning - which can mitigate some of the guesswork.
Although; personally, I don't sit so well with the very last portion of your post. That drug in any dose just felt like a hellish hangover for the most part. Excersising and managing one's energy levels as needed and working out the kinks of oneself while tripping on anything is an important part of the process too, imhoe.
So, maybe it's a tad presumptive to suggest without having prior knowledge as to the OP's overall medical history. It might be fine, maybe, idfk... Maybe i've presumed too much, and, you're his primary care physician or something and already know his pertinent deets. Who knows?
Traza...don't, and if so ~ see an understanding physician and explain one's actual life circumstances. Again, Who knows? A decent doc might even listen before suggesting something worth hearing, let alone before prescribing that shite stuff right off the cuff.
...but that's just like...my personal opinion, mannn.

Tarazadone, if it wasn't clear, isn't to pre-medicate. 99.99 was talking about using it to kill a trip. It's both an 5ht2a antagonist (trip blocker basically) and it blocks alpha adrenale receptors which would cut down on muscle tension.
The only thing I have to add to what's been said is be sure you're hydrated and ate healthy the couple of days before. And maybe split your dose so the come up is less intense.
And yes, the body load from cubes tends to be the roughest of any species I'm growing right now. Pans, Tampenesis, and Nats all give me much less body load.
Some of it is just age too. I don't fuck with LSD at all anymore because of body load.
Edit: and if you're a coffee drinker, switch to green tea, at least for the day

I find useful drinking 2 liters of water before the trip, taking multivitamine and multimineral complex 8 hours before, lemon balm tea before 45 minutes and streching, dancing helps.

Ibuprofen (or similar NSAIDs) may provide relief, either as a pre-dose or taken during a trip. The COX inflammatory pathway is upregulated by the classic psychedelics.
As far as vasoconstriction, calcium channel blockers (a widely used class of cardiology drugs) should be beneficial, as they directly oppose the major mechanism by which 5-ht2a agonists produce vasoconstriction. 5-ht2a agonists, like psilocybin/psilocin, are calcium channel activators, leading to potent vasoconstriction. An over-the-counter alternative to calcium channel blockers is magnesium, which is a natural calcium channel antagonist. Ideally, you'd pre-dose 45-60 minutes before dosing the shrooms.

I found sativa (THC) capsules (20+ grams) would really help with coming up when I was doing doses of 5g-8g of cubes. I didn't have all those issues but definitely had comfort issues and even with the THC would get cold (needed a blanket that I could adjust so I didn't get too cold or hot). The capsules have a 3-4 hour life so much longer than smoking or edibles. Later I got liquid LSD which doesn't cause me any issues coming up or going down (except not getting to sleep on monster doses)

I had these side effects after Cubensis too. Pans haven't these side effects comparing to them, in my experience. I would recommend to try Panaeolus Cyanescens, or Cambodginiensis, or Tropicalis. Psilocybe Semperviva was very smooth too.
