Definitely Contamination. I've never seen Mycelium color affected by food dye, it just eats it and we really only use it for contrast to help see contaminants to isolate away from, but eventually the Myc always eats it.
It also looks like you just have the plate loosely taped shut, this isn't adequate as contaminants can move into the plate from the edges. I use Parafilm, but many people swear by Glad clingwrap to wrap plates entirely around the lid edges.
As far as pre poured plates, you are trusting their sterility to someone else, and you end up guessing where contaminants were introduced, with pre poured plates it might not even be your own fault. I always suggest making amd sterilizing yoir own Agar, because you have more control over the sterile process and there's less guessing, it's also far cheaper.
You can buy sterilized empty plates from a vendor like Shroom Supply in smaller quantities, or in larger quantities. I like Celltreat 100mm Gamma sterilized petri dishes and buy directly from them in cases of 500 at a time and they last me quite a while.
As far as Agar, it's easy, you just need Agar Powder (I use Telephone Brand), Light Malt Extract, and Water. If you don't already have a Pressure cooker, you're going to need one. There's plenty of Teks for Agar, you should have a look at Bod's. Very detailed and east to follow https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21922023
Amazon has made so much money from me the last few years, they have everything you would need.

Dude stop using die. You're learning. Just make some regular plain agar. Malt, water, agar done. It looks like clean mice at that 11am area. Transfer that to some normal looking agar. Fuck coloring.
