Good evening. Sorry for such a shitty camera, but I saw what looks like moisture or spit or something on a spawning shoebox(whole oats, natalensis mycellium, and coir). Can barely see it, it just doesn't look like the rest of the mycelium ... Thanks!

Those little misty drops on the surface are what you want. That is a good sign that mushrooms will soon follow.
Good job.

Do you have a microscope or jewelers loupe? Even 30x is enough to see spores. If the black spots are spores you are screwed. If it is bruised knots or places water beaded and then bruised you should be fine to transfer.
Nah I don't have anything like that. But the water did all evaporate, and the agar has shrunk a bit.

It looks sus in other ways too like how it doesn't maintain thickness out to the edge. Good healthy mycelium typically tends to get more vigorous out by the edge and your plate is doing the opposite of that.

Inoculated what, with what? All in one bag with a spore syringe?
If so it's probably just as terrible as you suspect. That fails way more often than it works. If you want an easy and reliable method for home cultivation I highly suggest using the PF Tek. You can do it at home with the basic gear a kitchen has. It is fairly reliable and easy.
You are in the right place. Welcome

Due to my low level of experience, I normally don't give much advice, but to me this bag doesn't look bad. Just because it was inoculated with MSS into an AIO bag (which are both subpar growing methods) doesn't automatically rule it out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any signs of contam, and if I zoom in, I think I see some primordia forming.
Also, 17 days in is too soon to make any conclusions. I'd give it another week and if you don't have pins then call it a loss.

I ran an experiment with different grain types, all inoculated with wedges from the same dish of Treasure Coast. Only the two jars of wheat berries are doing this odd thing where the very top of the cake has an ever so slight blue hue. I can barely see it in person, but in pics it looks MUCH darker. I popped one of the lids today and nothing smells off. It's had this blue tinge on the top for weeks without much change. Do I send it?

The lc was dirty, the grain is contaminated. Both the mycelium covering the grains and the growths are all contamination.

Yes, spawn that!
That’s more than likely due to some environmental issue.
Probably grain prepped a bit dry and then it’s drying out and bruising on the top closest to the filter
If you don’t spawn it I bet mushrooms will grow in vitro

Blurpppp... while waiting for confirmation, sure enough, they're popping. Going to spawn tonight or tomorrow morning, as soon as I can whip up some coir! Thank you for the help.

I'm back with a different tub. Is this starting to go south? Looking at all of the tea like condensation. Treasure Coast, to bulk on 2/17

I'm also a newb so I'm hoping another will chime in. To me this looks good, just a bit dry maybe. I'd start misting the sides of your tub once a day with distilled water to keep up the humidity.

The metabolites aren't a great sign but that baby needs more fresh air. You want water beads but not big ass drops like that on there. If you give it some more air it may help with the metabolites as well.
