I attempted some clones of the tiny samui fruits I did get. It was a rough SAB session. I didn't take pics but they seemed to bruise just a darker color of their tissue, it looked sort of orange.

I took the first Samuiensis test out and flipped it casing and all. Pins are snapping back and looking for light.
The other is probably going to have to do the same. Pins are getting bigger and still not much going on at the casing layer. That one was recased early in. It was cased in coir which I remembered I can't do that here lol.. just in time. Caught some really early signs of mold as I was removing it. Either way I'm looking forward to getting this culture into a tray for the next round. Probably try cased grains next. May not be a bad idea to grab a clone too.

That's what happened when i had these, only solitary fruiting on top but tons of pins developing on the bottom.

That was my experience the last time these were released also. A few small fruits on top but a bunch of pins on the sides and bottom. Most aborted. Didn't catch them as early as these. They do seem to like the air pockets created by the verm. I'll probably just case broken up PF jars in verm for the next round. These jars are topped with cactus soil.

I wish you better luck than I, seems my culture had something meshed up in em, back to clearing things up nowβ¦
Dropped some testers to grain today; Banderillensis, Angulospora, baeocystis, caerulipes, neoxalapensis, Olivaceus, Makarorae, and a few others that are slipping my mind. Hopefully at least some of arenβt offended by ryeβ¦

Gorgeous variety of Zapotecorum!
There's even more Samuiensis pins now. I think I might do the same with the other tonight.

Playing a Pungi always helps.

The bigger it gets the faster Gandalfiana goes.

At this rate it should be in a four gallon pot within a few weeks.

Nice work TCO, the P. samuiensis looks really interesting, I hope they mature nicely.

Got a new one coming in!
Psilocybe liniformans pinning from a substrate block in a modified tote (sequenced the myc and confirmed before spawning). This species is in the sect. Semilanceatae and grows from dung in some of the same areas you can find fimetaria and libs in Europe.

This block has coco, manure, straw, hemp, vermiculite, worm castings. I let it colonize in a bag then had it sitting in a tote in the garage for months and it finally started pinning

Did you inoculate the block from grain or LC? Are you fruiting in lower temps? I seem to remember Sporulator put his mudda-style jar of these near a window to fruit.

Oooo do you have a link to their grow? Iβd love to check it out! This block was inoculated by adding a colonized brf cake (w rye flour) that was inoculated from LC. Originally started from spores to agar and made a few transfers first.
My garage sits in the 50-60F range this time of year so yes, reduced temp. Seems to be a requirement with the species close to semilanceata
They grew a bit overnight:

Wow they look very similar so far! Wish there were fully mature pics, I am curious how they will look when they open up. One thing I am excited to check for is the gelatinous band along the gill edges
