Mixing LC without a solid piece inside?

Got my hands on some ttbvi and natalensis and put the agar to a malt LC the other day. Both strains while they develop very differently on agar formed similar patterns inside the lc. They form chunks that are flat on one side and spherical on the other looking legit like medusae. Mixing it around without touching the filter barely does anything to it haha. Forgot to add a glass piece inside and such. Can you maybe mix it around with the syringe by pumping the liquid up and down? Silly question but also asked so I can post my first post and break the ice as well as to see how the forum works overall. Thanks y’all.

LC needles can be pretty big. Are you able to suck up anything?
You could sterilize some glass or a marble and dump it in.

I didn’t use it yet as it doesen’t seem mature and already have a bunch of grain colonizing directly from agar. Will def do what you said if the needle fails . Its just a needle from a melmac monster lc i bought that I keep recycling haha. Thanks for the welcome!

you could in the future try a ball leaproof stroage lid with only an rtv port you can sterilize. that wat you can dfaw your lc up from the vessel for testing, propagating or sharing. its what i do. lc doesnt really need any ge as it gets most of its oxygen from the surrounding h2o iirc. i have some polished rocks and marbles i put in the bottom before i sterilize, shakes up just great. you should also research sslc if you havent already, or if youre just curiuos about a cool option. since you are already attempting it essentially. it pretty much is just lc with tiny amounts of agar and nute, usually .2 but i say .1%
