sorry... I tried a AIO bag... then I hastily built a SGFC... yes I would do the PF now but is this salvageable.

Looks like a horrible yield for sure. But, I see a lot of right things happening, perlite, fruiting chamber, holes look a little bit small?
What was your overall temperature and can you pass a long the specific tek, and where did you get the spores? Doesn’t have to be specific but like from a friend, eBay or a trusted vendor
As far as salvation, I think so. Pick that couple, dunk for 2 or 3 hours, hydrate your perlite and hope for the best. Looks clean though so all hope isn’t lost but I wouldn’t get too excited
Might recommend a tek though?

Thank you for responding so quickly... after a few months you get sort of attached to the success of the project as like a referendum on your self-worth... but I can barely grow a chia pet so maybe this was a poor place to draw confidence from... The temperatures range between 72-82 depending on what my space heater randomly decides it wants... the spores came from an old r/sporetrader who looked like he had a decent lab setup... into an AIO bag mid-December on a heating pad (duh...) then when I realized that was stupid I switched to the space heater... then it somewhat colonized and started fruiting, and I took it out of the bag into this chamber. I'm going to wait 12 hours to see if indeed these aren't growing anymore and then pick everything and try a dunk like you suggest... i will keep from getting too excited but the whole project is kind of exciting so I will do my best... once I found this site I feel like I can do agar transfers onto sterilized BRF-Verm for the next attempts.

It looks like it ran out of water imo. Pick and Dunk it like Citizen X suggested. Waiting 12 hours won’t do anything except put you 12 hrs further from a flush. Also, one cake in a SGFC is going to dry out every time. You’d be better off covering all of holes and just turning that thing into a water tub.

I'm a novice, but if you're open to it, I'd probably break the cake apart and mix with coco coir into a shoebox or similar container. The reason I'd go this route is because I think the culture will have an easier time re-establishing good surface conditions compared to other options.

Okay first of all, LESS and smaller holes in sgfc is a good thing as they are prone to drying out.
OP can you tell us if you dunked this and how often you're misting?

yes I already decided to punt on my 12 hours after thinking on it a little, nice to hear you also feel this way. fortunately I did buy two tubs and only drilled one of them, so I can easily try the water tub tek after dunking.

Move to the new tub. If you have a rack to place the cake on use it. If not just dump your perlite into the unmodified tub. Dump some water in there just below the top of the perlite and move the cake over there.
Once you do that resist the urge to fuck with it. Leave the lid on, don’t check on it, don’t fan it, don’t mist it……just leave it alone.

I believe so. Too dry needs less fresh air to keep in moisture That’s why the shoebox is just the best. It’s just dialed in so perfectly. Literally don’t have to anything.
I would like to recommend a tek. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24952939#24952939

Thanks everyone for your responses... I did in fact "dunk that bitch", and it is currently on a platform in a 64qt lidded sterilite tub with perlite and a few inches of water. The meatloaf has never looked happier.
