Looks way gross. You can try top fruiting. Personally I'd toss that though.

That is bruising, nothing to be concerned about. And that jar is way hella ready to send! Good luck getting that out of the jar.

If it's bruising, why is it bruising? Not from drying out, it's pretty wet in there with all the metabolites... I can't tell if it's blue or gray, but that myc looks stressed. How long has it been sitting in there?

It is bruising because it has no more food and screaming to come out of the jar, if it is left in there too long it CAN kill it. Bruising happens when the mycelium is stressed. Either by contamination or in this case nowhere to go.

I've just never seen bruising in old bags or jars unless it was dry. I've seen mold do that though.
