Popular opinion is in favor of gay rights.
It is now. It wasn’t 15 years ago. In 2008 voters banned gay marriage in CALIFORNIA.
You have a lot of opinions based on zero knowledge of the subject matter.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_California_Proposition_8
Quote:
Proposition 8, known informally as Prop 8, was a California ballot proposition and a state constitutional amendment intended to ban same-sex marriage; it passed in the November 2008 California state elections and was later overturned in court. The proposition was created by opponents of same-sex marriage in advance[2] of the California Supreme Court's May 2008 appeal ruling, In re Marriage Cases, which followed the short-lived 2004 same-sex weddings controversy and found the previous ban on same-sex marriage (Proposition 22, 2000) unconstitutional. Proposition 8 was ultimately ruled unconstitutional by a federal court (on different grounds) in 2010, although the court decision did not go into effect until June 26, 2013, following the conclusion of proponents' appeals.
If you left the rights of gay people up to the will of the people, gay people would still be living in the dark ages. It was legislatures, and in particular the courts, that led the population into accepting things like gay marriage and even the legality of gay sex.
Leaving the rights of minorities to the will of the majority has always been a disaster

My point is... way back then.. Clinton opposed gay marriage also. She changed her opinion with the changing tide, as she's done on so many issues.

Also, Carter was too honest to be president for two terms.
There will be entire groups that won't vote for Biden that normally would. Kennedy supporters, frat boys, anyone who hates how he's handled isreal/Gaza even though we essentially have no say in it which includes alot of college liberals.
It's looking like Trump will win this one. Liberals aren't even a little unified and conservatives practically all think exactly alike.
Funny part is all these anti Biden people that aren't voting for him because he's supporting isreal, just wait until trumps in office you'll be in for a rude awakening
Also I think it's incredibly naive to think Bernie would've beaten Trump. To think that you'd have to just ignore how our system actually works, ignore what the attack ads would've been, ignore how hard it would've been to get public support for completely socializing medical care in America, he was old as dirt too and would've been in the same convo we are having now about ages of presidents no matter how sharp he was. Clinton wasn't the right choice either but to suggest Trump would've been crushed by Bernie is just ridiculous. Democratic socialist means socialist to about 65% of America. Good luck trying to explain the difference to conservatives.

Dude Clinton has been out of politics for 7 years. It’s time to move on.

According to the latest intel, Taylor Swift and Michelle Obama are actually men.

What do you mean we have no say in it? We are the ones giving Israel all of their fucking bombs. Israel wouldn't even function as a country without the United States. Maybe that's another good argument for why they don't deserve to exist.

Biden is going to lose this one horribly. If the naval blockade continues through to summer, we're going to have another round of serious inflation. He's done.
However, to say conservatives are all of one mind is incorrect. There are definitely clear factions within that party. There are MAGA republicans, and then oldschool neocons... Then you have the "Libertarians"... All of them have different ideas on a lot of issues. There are evangelical christians in all of these groups, but I think the single most important issue for all of them is abortion.

It's "Israel", and Biden is the number one recipient of AIPAC funding. He's also a self-proclaimed zionist and has been his whole life.

The public has been in support of it for a long time now, actually.

Trump himself said that the number one person he didn't want to go up against was Bernie, in private, to his own people. In head to head polling at the time, Bernie did much better against Trump than Clinton, particularly in battleground states.
Bernie would have crushed Trump.

"Bernie didn't even come close to winning the -RIGGED- election" ---
Thank you for making my point perfectly
What point? That Clinton can win rigged elections? Sure... She just can't win general elections against the likes of Donald J Trump!
Bernie would have handed him his ASS. You should be upset.
If Bernie had narrowly lost a rigged election, then I buy that he might have won the democratic primaries before losing to Trump. But Bernie didn't even come close. Superdelegates don't rig the primaries that much, it's only a 25 point swing.
