We should be supporting and funding Ukraine. They need to stop dragging their ass and crying like little babies and do their job. Or they’re going to keep losing house seats. Which I’m grateful for. People are waking up. We need to stop letting tantrum throwing children get put in charge. That means voting Democratic to get people that want to make the country better.

That’s why Rand Paul is a failed legislator.

Thank you for making my point perfectly
What point? That Clinton can win rigged elections? Sure... She just can't win general elections against the likes of Donald J Trump!
Bernie would have handed him his ASS. You should be upset.

We should go back to the way we used to do it, and the way every other democracy in earth does it. Political parties should nominate the candidates at political conventions. I’ve never participated in a primary where my vote mattered because my primary is in May and everything is already decided by then. Democracy isn’t where everything is decided by Iowa, and New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
You're right. It's a shitty opinion.
But you have always been a pro-elitist Clintonite.

The majority of Americans are against funding for Ukraine. In a representative democracy, their job is to NOT waste billions on things their constituents DON'T want.

I don’t think the majority of Americans are against funding for Ukraine. I think all of the Republicans have made it a talking point so now roughly 40% of Americans are against funding for Ukraine. Those are big approximates too.
As has been explained to you multiple times. How is it a waste of money, when we’re investing in the security of all of Europe, including us to a very large extent. We are also taking away a ton of funding from a completely corrupt and evil oligarch, who was using those weapons to invade a sovereign nation.
Sounds like a great investment.

You haven't gotten over it... Clinton Democrats have been feverishly foaming at the mouth with Trump derangement syndrome for a decade.
What the fuck are you talking about?
The thing you fail to understand is that could have all been avoided.

No in a representative democracy, representatives shouldn’t be sticking their fingers in the air to see which way the wind is blowing. They should make their decision based on what they think is right, even when it’s not popular. What you are describing is mob rule.

Recent polling has 70% of Americans against it.

As a gay man, I’m very happy that politicians and courts were not swayed by popular opinion and instead did what was right.
Gay marriage became a national right because the courts overturned ballot initiatives approved by a majority of voters

One of the primary most issues I see with electing a solid president is that:
(okay, maybe more than just 1, but w/e...roll with it, ty)
1) Whomever gets to a point in their life so as to be electable? They've more than likely gotten there (in part) by putting themselves into the debt of others via favors and whatnot. Which, (eventually) inevitably ends up with them defaulting as to their 'promises' to 'the people'.
2) If said person is elected - regardless of if they had run on a platform which was purposefully written, was clear as day, everything open, bright, and upright ~ an 123abc ~ agenda as to exactly what it was they were going 'to do as soon as elected insofar as humanly possible' (*within the limits of their role in an executive branch) ~ie~ what they intent 'to do' if they've somehow one day found themselves in the oval office.
3) the piper from point number 1 comes a calling and takes precedence over the president in a way that, effectively diminishes or altogether cancels out the explicit intents some hypothetical candidate might've run on with respect to point number 2.
Thus, the cycle of an america running on something akin to a windows 95 operating system goes on and on...
So...What functional solutions are there to such a systemic problem?
Anyone have any bright ideas?

Popular opinion is in favor of gay rights.

We need to find a way to get the influence of money out of politics. That's the only solution. I don't think it's possible either.
