5 or 6 or 7 if you go smaller.

long knife and just run it as close to the sub as you can. When I have a harvest like that, ill chop as I described, and then dress up the bottom of the stipe where there is likely still sub attached. Nice work

I remove the entire sub from the tote and then use a cheap extendable razor blade or long knife to cut as close to the surface as I can.
For big subs there is a bit of technique to get your whole arm under it and slide it out nicely but it can be done easily after you get the hang of it

I'd like to see their ladder flushes as well, I personally didn't care for my culture that preformed like that. Made for great pics for sure, but they were twigs and dried even smaller. I never got a substantial 2nd with mine

I'm with ya, it does make for a sweet pic, but there tiny, dry up to twigs, takes a while to harvest. A lot of my tubs go like that: heavy pin set and lots of little ones, it that something I'm doing or is it more to do with genetics??

I would say it has more to do with genetics

I should clone some of the second flush chubbies, these are gt's. I'm going to try some other strains, using these to learn the ropes.

How long does it usually take for a year old spore print to germinate on BRF agar?
It's been 6 days since inoculation and there is no growth at all.

I've had old prints take a month to germ.

A year isn't considered old. I would think it would germ like normal time frame

I'm not saying a year is old, just saying it's taken up to a month to see germination on a plate. To be fair, that particular print was eight years old.

I had recent germination from 3 year old pan cyans in 4 days. Pretty typical.
