Should my fan be on a timer for my humidification/pond fogger?
    #28665764 - 02/18/24 03:53 PM (10 months, 23 days ago)

I bought a pond fogger to humidify my 10x10 tent. I have a 6-in inline fan to push fresh air in through the tub that then forces the fog up the PVC and into the tent. Should I leave the fan on continuously for fresh air? Or should I put the fan on a timer to help prevent constant air without humidity? The humidifier is on a humidity controller for a target humidity of 88%. I also have an exhaust fan set up inside with ducting going outside the tent to run and cycle 5 minutes on and 2 hours off.

Are you growing gourmets or cubes? Cubes don’t need any of that.

Your Fresh air and humidity should be on separate fans, ducting and YES timers. Going to be nearly impossible to dial your tent in with 1 doing both. You only need to refresh the air in the tens a couple times an hour, depending on the varieties.

The exhaust is an ac infinity on a 69 pro controller, set to exhaust 3 minutes every 3 hours. I did put an outlet extender on the inkbird so I can plug the intake fan and the pond fogger so they can cycle on together. They're not on a timer, just a humidity controller.
