Not quite a canopy but a much better first flush then my first grow of bvi.

Two of my Bisporus cultures are putting out nice second flush pinsets.  But I think they're still going to be dwarves unfortunately.

Just saw this lol. Potentially yes. They were bought from a trusted vendor.

Oh, I guess I'll post my first "good" harvest, which was after a few attempts. Netted about 18g dry. Should I go with the clones or go multispore again to try to get better? This is of bisporus.

Could it be you or your spore source mislabeled these? Looks like something else to me.

Just saw this lol. Potentially yes. Spores were bought from a trusted vendor; not gotten off the marketplace. I'm excitedly flushing out several other variants I received from the community. Still going through getting the initial clones, cleaning, and returning to the box to see if they clone well.

Here is some Bunnell sourced pans (sent from a kind soul who PM'ed me, Idk etiquette for callouts though). I already got a small amount from this one to clone, then some clusters appeared and mostly aborted after light misting. I took samples from choice standalones even if they were side growers. I'm hoping to get better coverage after I secure horse manure soon after the rain stops. Currently working on Black Kow and despite all my efforts to fluff it with coir it's so dang dense. Casing is Jiffy or Miracle grow sphagnum

Hey Kunta, here's a typical looking Bisporus pheno.

These are dwarfing for some reason but you get the idea.

@everyone

Ten cup BVI with 3/4qt rye, recycled bisporus substrate, and some coir etc yielded 54g wet.  Will measure tomorrow again to get my wet dry conversions.  Tray still looking strong.  No sign of green goblins. (It's a clear tray so I checked the sides etc.)

Thanks!  That was the intention   And the lid was handy when I went to look for a background lol

I'm quitting weed and struggling with lack of sleep.  Forgot to turn the dehydrator on when I finally crashed last night...

On the bright side the room was cold, so that should have slowed oxidation a little.  The fruits looked okay.  And I guess it was only about four hours because of my fucked up sleep cycle.

If that was a more general question.  I do two hours.  140 for poo.  160 for casing.

Drumroll please...

2.95

So, about four trips if I want to hit the limit I set for myself each time.  Which I don't lol

And right around 95% water weight.

4 hours at 160 is closer to sterilization times.

When we pasteurize liquids in the food industry we do 161 for 15 - 18 seconds.

Vat pasteurization is done at 140 for 30 minutes.

Granted these are for liquids but solid follow similar temps.

I think you'll be fine but just an FYI. It really depends on the core temperature of what your pasteurizing which is defined as "every partical heated to X temp for no less than Y time".

Possibly, however with the dehydrator set to 160 the actual bags of poo don't get to 160. Closer to 150-155. Didn't invent the TEK, as I said copied it from @roscoreturns. Seemed to work fine for both my Casing (which I used on my Semps as well) and the poo. And its super simple as long as you don't need massive amounts

Does anyone know if there's a newer graph of the genetic tree for pans?

I pulled this one up but I think somethings have moved recently.

I've got some poo/coir mix left over from spawn to bulk yesterday.

I'm preparing grain jars today - is it worth adding a bit to the grain before I PC?  (Others have said they add a bit of poo, but I wonder if poo/coir is pointless).

Cheers

In my experience Alan has been very responsive when reaching out directly with questions (especially with this kind of stuff). He may even be able to point you directly to a site where the current understanding is kept. In fact I think hes mentioned it in his lectures many times but I have a terrible memory for that stuff.

Either way you should reach out.

My cultures run like shit on just grain.  I add poo and verm. Coir would work too.

There's a log linked in my signature.
