Need advice on spore print contamination and bacterial colonies on agar plate

I have a situation with a spore print that I made approximately two years ago. Unfortunately, at that time, I didn't sanitize the foil properly, and the spore print was stored folded inside a book. Considering the lack of proper sanitation, I suspect that the spore print may have been contaminated.
Recently, I decided to inoculate a new agar plate with the spore print. It's been three days since I streaked the plate using a bent wire. I noticed bacterial colonies forming along the streak path, covering the area where the spores were streaked.
I'm concerned about whether these bacterial colonies will destroy the spores or hinder their germination. Should I wait for the spores to germinate so that I can attempt to clean up the plate through transfers, or would it be wiser to start a new grow altogether?
Any advice or insights on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly if you're getting bacterial colonies directly where you streaked spores in only a few days I would just move on. It's possible the spores will still germinate but you will have a pretty hard time cleaning the culture through a series of quite a few transfers.
If you're attached to this particular variety then keep the plate around while you start another project just incase something usable pops up. Do you have any pics?
For future reference, foil comes off the roll sterile so you shouldn't be attempting to sanitize it as you will only be making it dirtier.

When I mentioned 'not sanitized,' I meant that no extra effort was taken to ensure a clean print, as if the spore print was collected in an open air, among other factors. Anyway, I'm doing this primarily as an educational exercise. I might attempt to clean the mycelium by dipping it with gentamicin, H2O2, bleach, or another substance. I'll need to research further. As long as the spores germinate within a day or two or five, I'll view it as a success. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
