I F-ed up and ended up with all my growbags bursting. I transferred most of the substrate from the autoclave to a plastic container.
I have lions mane and king oyster spawn ready to be transferred.

Now i am thinking about these options to proceed..
1. load it up in bags and try to sterilize it again.
2. Just put in in bags and inoculate.
3. Add lime to the substrate and then inoculate in bags.
4. Something else?

The substrate is now a mix of hardwood pellets, straw pellets, wheat bran and gypsym.

What was your process of PCing the bags? Did you manually release pressure from the vessel after cooking?

I would load the substrate into new bags and leave them unsealed, push out as mush air as possible from the bags, fold tops over so they don’t come in contact with the water, place a ceramic or metal plate over top of bags to keep in place and also prevent any expansion in the plastic from blocking the pressure relief valve, then after your cycle is complete let the autoclave drop pressure naturally without messing with it and then let cool until you’re ready to use the bags right out of the autoclave.

I also like to put a few mason jar rings around the side of the bags so they don’t come in direct contact with the hot metal towards the bottom of the vessel.

Sorry for offtopic but how's your yields with straw pellets + wheat bran / combination you mentioned?
