Did my tub finish colonizing?

Dear wise growers,
4 weeks ago I spawned some PF cakes into a small tub of verm/coir.
The ratio spawn to sub is quite low because I had only a small number of cakes but I decided to try anyway.
I also added a 2cm casing layer of coco/verm casing and left the tub in the dark with no fae.
After 4 weeks, I don't see contam on the surface, I can see rhizomorphic mycelium ropes pushing through the casing layer at a couple spots but the rest of the casing is still clean of any myc.
Should I wait longer? Should I open fae and light?
Thanks for your educated advice!
Happy growing!

Pictures are best, for future reference.
Are you colonizing in the dark and sealed up? Very out of date information. Give it a 12/12 light cycle if you can and let it breathe. It’s alive and breathes oxygen just like mammals do. Do not suffocate it.
There is no functional difference between colonization and fruiting conditions.

Yes the tub is in the dark and no fae.
I'll post some pictures later but there's really not much to see besides the sub and a couple myc strands peeking out.
Is ther really no difference between colonizing conditions and fruiting conditions? I've never seen that.
Thanks for your advice though, I'll do some research.

FAE from spawning and 12/12 are standard now. They both really help.

And another week passed by, I see no new myc activity but two small spots of contam on the surface.
I guess the tub is doomed??
Here're the pictures:

The two spots with mycelium on the two last pictures are like that since two weeks and did not colonize any further.

That’s not a good sign. I can’t see contam from the pictures, but it should be colonized by now

It's two tiny specks, two different contams. 3mm diameter.
Yep, I guess I'm back to square 1 .
