I have seen free sources of really clean water. I happen to live in a place that has the benefit of natural water springs.
There should just be more of them. The lines to it were ridiculous.

It's the most expensive in the world while in terms of outcomes is rated 11th. Someone's getting rich and it's a crime that targets the vulnerable.
Yes.
I don't have a solution for the US' healthcare problem, however I have always thought that the medical profession being pro-profit was a bad idea. It just seems incompatible with the purpose of caring for people and treating their illnesses.
There's several solutions possible, all of them will upset many rich people.
- Regulate medical pricing to international standards (oh no, the commies are taking over)
- Regulate insurance payouts to international standards (the commies after your freedom)
The bribes (lobbying) that would happen, escalating to outright smear campaigns and then threats and potentially even murder, if someone got anywhere breaking up this insurance/ medical cartel scam would be like no other in US history.
None of it will actually get that far though, because it's a sin against the god of Capitalism.
Edit: I've thought about it, and until one of these two things (in some way) is done any national health insurance initiative will be ineffectual. The hospitals will just rort the taxpayer. So there's not even a way to work that way. Any-Care scheme that is presented is a farce. It does not address the issue. Imagine if medical pricing was 10-20x less, to match services internationally, how far the current healthcare funding from the government would go. There's little shortfall there.

America kills god for breakfast. Why not another one?
Our people are rowdy. If we got everyone on board with the idea and realized how tangible it is to never have to pay a medical bill again. To have free education. If people were willing to riot for it. There would be change. That’s what founded this country. We can do it again…

Sadly that's the final solution GC.
People need to realise that the insurance companies are the primary enemy too, the highly paid shock troops that allow the medical and pharmaceutical industries to get away with what they are doing. Without them the exploitation mechanism is gone.

I hope we do, and also believe that AI will be one of the springboards to get us there. I am hopeful it allow all of humanity quick and cheap access to valuable information, leading to more innovation as well as a proliferation of technology across the planet. Its effect will be felt across all sectors and it seems reasonable to assume healthcare will be one of the nascent adopters of the tech - hopefully this leads to cheaper costs on a grand scale.
It is Feb 6th, our food budget for the month as others is $1000 - weve spent $316.12 so far. Have eaten out once this year (In n out - which seems like the only thing not to have succumbed to inflation - bravo!!). Still, 1/5th through the month, and burned through 1/3 of our budget. Granted with that money we have fresh food which will last through the 10th or so... so maybe were on track. dunno yet, but was $500 over last month without eating out at all.

Free healthcare won't change people's behavioral choices that lead to negative health outcomes, such as eating crap.
I want less US "healthcare" because it sucks so bad.

I don’t see the issue. If you’re referring to people with eating disorders. That just means they have mental health issues which should also be paid for. Free healthcare is only a gain to society.
What does “less healthcare” mean? Because that sounds wrong.

Dude you make some of the stupidest arguments I’ve ever seen.
No free healthcare because McDonald’s.

He thinks McDonald’s is part of the healthcare industry apparently. I guess skydiving is healthcare too. And being a cop is healthcare. Anything dangerous is healthcare.
It’s just stupid right wing excuses for not doing the right thing.
Wearing a mask or getting vaccinated? Not healthcare.
These are the same malcontents that scream bloody murder if you try to ban trans fats, 40 oz sodas, or smoking in bars.
