From where I originally placed that aztecorum patch it has expanded 10-15 yards out into the woods. It is really shaded area from maple, cedar, doug fir and just thick ground cover. Hard to tell size in these pix but they aren't that big next to azurescens and company. The biggest I have grown them the caps were around the size of a quarter when matured.
Hey Scapo! That semilanceata container you did was super cool excellent job

Thank you Viridis!
As inspired by Inski, I finally got around to posting some agar all in one place, feel free to share your own pics if you feel like it! It's nice to see what other peoples plates look like

I like that idea! I’ll have to get some pictures together in the coming days. It’ll be interesting to see comparatives to agar recipes as well. Likely a good resource to determine best mixes on that front.

They’re now both broken up into sterilized bags of substrate
One bag has coco, verm, peat, mulch, and hemp fibers. The second has the same mix plus manure
I do not know what I will do to fruit them yet!

Nice work scapo, just wondering, what form of inoculant did you use?
The PF substrate is really useful for small experimental trials with exotics like this, you should try making an extra jar and fruiting it directly from the jar with a properly pasteurised casing layer, I've found many of these exotics can fruit from this substrate and then prints and clones can be made.

One lucky semilanceata LC is just about to inoculate 7 willing recipients.

10 more jars are cooling down now and will be inoculated with two other LCs tomorrow. Did inoculate 14 cakes 11 days ago and they are starting to come around now.

My process is taking my top agar plates, making a 4oz lc jar from them, then pulling syringes and using those to inoculate cakes
You’re right! I broke these up into substrate bags but fruiting from the jars is also a great idea

Nice, I've done similar and that type of substrate colonises really well using LC, I've also been making my substrate a bit drier to compensate for the amount of liquid added with the LC.

Beautiful looking culture, I received a print from that species a few years back but unfortunately it wasn't viable, I hope you can get it to fruit👍

Yes! And a little less flour so it’s not as dense and does not have as high of a risk of stalling as a result.
Thank you! It had always been my dream to fruit this species. So close to making it a reality, I have a journal that I’m keeping updated

Just tested water agar. 500ml/10g. Room temperature well water at 7.35pH. Stirred at 7.23pH. I'll dissolve and PC it tomorrow and try to take a finished reading. Too busy right now.

Another Aztecorum. This one is on 50/25/25 chips, coir and straw pellets. I'll probably spawn this to outdoor pots.
