But why? You could have bought a pressure cooker by now with the money you’re throwing away on premade quarts of LC. Or, you could be ordering prepped grain jars, and inoculating with the syringe to actually grow mushrooms. Quit bothering with expanding LC. It’s not useful for you and not teaching you anything that can’t be learned by reading.

Personally I believe kits are counter productive and actually teach you bad habits over teaching you how to solve the issues.
As Myco has said, this time and money could be spent on proper learning as you progress rather than trying to learn from a failure you by rights didn't even cause.

Does not compute? I didn't cause? I think it was my dirty process and lack of sterile procedure.

He's just saying when you buy kits or premade bags/jars/agar etc, you are likely buying someone else's mistake. When you make your own, you know it was done correctly, so you can more easily eliminate variables of failure.

Dude, you can get a brand new presto 23 qt pressure cooker for under $150. Let grandma buy her own $700 canner for whatever reason she needs something like that.

I wanted to shop the goodwill store and Craigslist then I remembered the video I posted in the cultivation confessional with the pressure pot blowing beans in what looked like a commercial kitchen. I added the link below if anyone reading wants to watch a PC blow

And what? I'm saying I agree with you, the suggestion of a 23 qt cooker at $150. I would rather spend less but at the same time I don't want to buy someone's left over trash, leaving a kitchen hazard at the same time. While grandma is in the background looking up 200 liter commercial cookers on wheel casters and laughing at me. Grandma is a VP of a national financial institution and budget is not a issue, while I'm just a broke hobby enthusiast crashing one of her assets. She's scared I'm going to blow up the kitchen and is demanding I have a really good quality cooker. Mind you, neither of us have a lick of experience with PC's.

In the words of the great Matthew McConaughey, "Alright Alright Alright". This lil jar run, (try #2) seems to be doing just fine! Keeping it's turbidity clear and bright with nice lil bright cumulus clouds of myc floating around when spun up. I don't even know what to do with it! Its a no go item on the marketplace and I don't have the space or drive to mess with it. Grandma said no to the refrigerator and I don't blame her. I honestly just wanted to gain some experience with success on the jar concept. I would hate to pour it down the drain to just brew my own broth. That's the next item on the checklist I want to hit, making my own broth suspension and having successful inoculation with it.
