Everything looking textbook buddy. Just give it a little longer. 25 days is on the shorter end of things. Hold fast!

SwabMarley,
thank you, man! I get anxious when stuff isn't changing. Patience is my weak side. But I will wait then .

I can't find SFD here in Germany, besides on Temu or Amazon (not an option).
My lids i ordered will arrive soon and i am still pondering how to use them.
I planned to use them unmodified but i am not sure if this is the best option for noobs like me.
Unmodded are A OK and what I have been using for the past 2 years+ without issue!
I even done a few side by sides with modded lids with SFDโs and there was literally zero difference and in some cases the unmodded colonised quicker. Why add an additional contam vector and forgo the ability to shake the shit out of those bitches without worry. Not to mention all the additional work (drilling, sticking stickers, RTV, etc) just to have the same results? Same for LC vessels. As long as thereโs enough head room, youโre good.

Hello, friends. Accidentally premature FAE introduction to my tub; I'm not sure if should be worried (am a bit).
First time doing a monotub and I'm wondering if I need to do anything. I'd take pictures and post for a visual, but I'm not sure if opening the top will mess anything up or how well pictures will come in through the plastic.
The deets:
1. First time monotub. 2. Mixed coir with fully colonized grains three weeks ago. 3. After only a few days the growth seemed quick and abundant. 4. Moved the tub and didn't notice until about 15 minutes later the lid popped open, introducing a bunch of brush air (the FAE holes were duct taped) 5. It doesn't seem to have done much in two weeks, the mycelium is fuzzy and doesn't seem to have consolidated much more of the coir. There's visible tendrils but no actual pins.
I didn't mean to introduce fresh air in yet and am worried they tried to fruit without colonizing the coir hardly at all. Should I just keep waiting or is there something I can/should do to try and fix this? Lemme know if it's okay to open the lid to take good pictures so I can share more than words.

Then it teaches โfor fuck sake! Keep track of all your projects!!! Youโve got a pan Estero plate here that is literally cultivating its own eco system!โ
Thatโs normally a good thing though so Iโll kindly shut the fuck up.

Then in year two it teaches you that things can quickly boil over. And now you have pounds of dry fruit and nothing to do with them.

During the first flush I accidentally waterlogged my substrate. Once I dialed back on misting and FAE, large parts of the tub were overgrown with cottonball-like growth.
At first I thought it might be mold but it's been snow white like this for around a week now. Is this likely just odd mycelium growth caused by insufficient FAE or could it be something else?

I wouldn't know but a friend of a friend who's cousin was drunk at a party spewed out some crap about no one wanting to pay more than 20 bones for a trip. If you do the math on that your zipper discount would probably be somewhere between 80 wire taps and 120 days in jail.

Not at all brother. Honesty after initial investment in hard reusable materials are out of the figure about $1. Little bit of change per disposable/organic material and ingredients in the process per dry oz.
I source material in bulk. Not pallets but large quantities at a time. Lol
Ok maybe $2.
