To address this, they are manufacturing state of the art Russian ships with glass bottoms.... so they can see the rest of their Navy.

It's interesting how often relative cost comes up, when not all money is equal. Money depends on production. A camera might be cheaper than a ship's worth of steel, but if you don't have access to the chips that make the camera work, but you have tons of steel...the ship is easier to build.
That might be a good point if Russia wasn't the only major power with a shrinking navy

You’ve had this proven to you yet you can’t bear to admit you have this wrong.
You’ve had Naftali Bennett’ admission that the collective west sunk the first round of peace talks, yet you won’t accept it.
You’ve had the sniper theory proven correct with a court ruling, yet you won’t accept it.
It’s your choice if you want look ignorant I guess.

Anyone who’s been paying attention to Ukraine this last week or so would be aware of the drama between Zaluzhny and Zelensky wanting to oust him as leader of the military.
This pic recently put up by Zaluzhny is a warning that the far right are backing him.

We're talking about a Soviet-era ship that was manufactured before anti-ship drones even existed. It was an anti-ship corvette uninvolved in combat operations. I'm pretty sure its only point defense weapons were 7.62 LMG's. It's not like they just sank some huge battleship.
Ukraine, the only country that can sink multiple naval vessels and still lose the war. Guess they forgot that the war is being fought on land...

Saying the US had nothing to do with the 2014 CIA/Nuland/Obama regime change operation in Ukraine is like saying water isn't wet.
It is beyond ridiculous.
But whatever you need to tell yourself to justify ignoring all US culpability in the completely avoidable deaths of half a million Ukrainians in a war that was made unavoidable as a result of our own actions.

Yeah, it’s pretty impressive that Russia lost its Navy in a ground war. In fact, it’s completely unprecedented. It’s the most unimpressive navy that ever existed.

It's 2023 yo, and it don't have to be an aicraft carrier to be significant.
'They forgot the war is being fought on land'.. that's a nice hunk of copium.
Where'd the CIA and Obama come from in all this?

Meanwhile, Ukraine just got more air defense.

Can’t wait until the f-16s blow a hole through that sea of teeth and just end this. The entire world will be happy that this war is over with the exception of Vladimir Putin, and chopstick.

I honestly hope Ukraine never gets F-16's fuck that. Neither Australian Tiapans or any of our collective tax expenditure, we have enough problems here at home than to be hemorraging 10,000 homeless people by spending the money to rebuy the military gear we're sending off. There is no softening the severity of the attrocity of spending our tax money on this, rather than that.
It's a fucked up situation in Ukraine, but a one off arms supply from the US would have been enough support in my view, none of this continued cash splashing on military expendature in the face of a cost of living crisis.
I don't pay taxes for this shit more than a once off. And I think even Stable shares this sentiment.

Why buy the equipment back? This equipment is kind of old by this point anyways. They need those F-16 so they can just finish this. They should’ve had these last year. That’s my opinion.

You send off the equipment then lobby the goverment for a larger budget.
Surplus military expenditure requires more subsidies. That's the case being made by doing so at least.
Ukraine cannot finnish this with F-16s, unless they have a veritable fucking army of them!!
(I'm not angry, just ecstatic at the reasonable discourse we're having, good stuff )

I think you’re overestimating Russian air defenses at this point. They have a lot of territory that they’re trying to cover with very few vehicles. It would not be a stretch to be able to strike some of this SOT and allow the ground troops entry. That’s all they need.

I think a plethora of long range cruise missiles might make more of a difference than f-16s, I mean how many do you think would be required to 'overwhelm' russian air defences? And what could they do that land based long ranged missile launches couldn't..

I think they could probably just set up a false flag. Draw their attention to a different area. Strike where it’s weakest. Clear the air really quick with some missiles. Send f16s directly following the strikes. Blow a hole through the SOT.

That's just because the Russian's are impotent, the Nimitz was built in 1967 and remains one of the most powerful warships on the planet. they're just fucking stupid to have such expensive assets with such weak defenses.
And guided missile ships are the #1 most important naval asset for this type of war that the Russian's possess, especially in the context of their airforce being too weak and scared to even cross into Ukraine
