unless Jack frost drops the bass with a surprise deep frost, you will have lots of mosquitoes this summer.
A sudden hard frost now would save a trainload of insecticides later in the year.

It is warm here in Tennessee too, but Tennessee always has some freaky weather. I think it is everywhere though. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28643098#28643098

We had one week of heavy snow here in Northern Ontario. Now it's warm and rainy. The snowmobile clubs are fighting a losing battle trying to get trails going.

El Nino?
I mean, actually, here in upstate NY I've grown to accept that we're never having the winters of my youth again. It's just a different world. Time to get with the program

Yeah it's going to be 50F (10C) here this weekend. Crazy really. Usually we'd be mired well under freezing at this point, but the last few winters have been pretty tame. I am glad I didn't buy that ski pass this year.

You got something against sledding/boarding, building snowmen, snowball fights, and snow angels? We are gonna have to have to snowball fight this one out

I think the ski places were open for a bit this year, the weather has been like a degree or two below freezing most of the time, and they all have snow machines, but we only had 1-2 snowfalls all winter
I was hoping for many many snowfalls, so the plows hit parking lots often, so I can find stuff in the snow piles with my metal detector, but it just didn't happen
I see the grass peeking through the snow though, so by Thursday I should be able to go out in 6 degrees weather and film my first metal detecting video in the grass next week
I see people in Toronto FB group finding silvers all day long cause they have no snow and no frozen ground
The ground just didn't really freeze this year, the only reason I'm not out detecting is the snow

Nah, I'll dare you to see who holds out longest during a good Aufguss and settle it that way.
I hate the fucking cold. And everything that even remotely approaches freezing I call 'cold'.

They made a shit ton of snow here (Pennsylvania), but it hasn't lasted. All the decent places are basically wet grass now. I was going to buy a Mega Pass, which gives me access to 30 plus resorts, it's like $700. It's unlimited off peak skiing. I have a very flexible schedule so I figured that would be sweet. I could go once a week easy. However, none of the resorts near by have snow. It would have been a waste. Glad I didn't do that.

We had the coldest temps in decades on the west coast last month. Mostly winter has been mellow though.
