How does one give oysters in containers opportunity for another flush?

I am not able to get a second flush with my grey oysters.
These are in containers and they have access to the air via a few holes. All those holes are well covered with fruit residu (cut of stem).
How does one give oysters in containers opportunity for another flush?
Is the mycelium well enough equipped to regrow from that cut off stem in the holes, or is some additional help needed?
Spraying, dunking, carving?
Help would be very much appreciated!

depends on the size of container. some people will cover the holes with tape, and then remove some and cover others for a 2nd flush. also submerging the sub for 24hrs can help revitalize a bock that still has nutrition but little moisture left.

Do you mean that some holes are opened by taking away non breathing tape, after the first flush?
And regarding the already 'used holes'; should the oyster be able to regrow from there, and any additional thing needed other than submerging?

yes, that's it.
if you remove the sub to soak, then those holes might unclog, but if you leave it in the container to soak, then it may have a hard time regrowing from those holes.
all depends how you pick the mushrooms - you could slice right at the wall of the container and keep it plugged, or try to pull the stem base outward to keep the hole exposed.
perhaps try both with your next container and see what works best or which you prefer.

Thanks! I put the containers under lots of water, for 20 hours or so. 5 hours later I noticed new pins!

hehe. Yes indeed!
After calculating the days back: it took about 14 days for pins to appear after harvesting the first flush.
I wonder: what is considered a normal harvest-to-pin period?
