I can teach you to lucid dream while I’m asleep. 2

I’ve always been myself in my dreams. I don’t know how else to explain it. It’s just me in a different place, but I am myself. I have all of my same mannerisms and knowledge at my disposal.
I can only say this confidently because I’ve gotten testimonials from people. That have talked to me while I was sleeping. It’s not that I’m not dreaming when they do. But it’s not like I can’t answer a question while I’m doing whatever it is I am in the dream.
First example: Somebody asked me if I was awake once. When they were getting ready to draw on my face with markers.
I started laughing. But like real evil laughing. So they asked if I was awake. Then I responded. “If you write on my face, I’m gonna kill you.” They didn’t write on my face they thought I was awake. But I wasn’t. They asked me about it the next day, and it made me laugh.
The next time I get to hear about this happening was with my girlfriend at the time. I was saying something. So she she asked me what was up. “No one is allowed in my airbrush castle.” What does that mean? “ It means no one‘s allowed. Then I chuckled.” She tried to have me elaborate. But she woke me up. She told me she had tried this multiple times afterwards and it worked every time. It spooked her.
The next time I got to hear about it. I was spending the night at her sister’s so I could go to a concert. She went to smoke some weed in the kitchen. I was sleeping on the nearby couch. Then I commented on it smelling good. She could tell I wasn’t awake. The next day she told me she sat there and had a conversation with with me. All while I was asleep, I had no memory of this at all. I never do.
Does anyone else experience this? I guess I self-actualized in my dreams so much that it’s just automatic now and has been for a since I was young. Or I guess I just dream in a particular way where I am fully cognizant of myself while I’m dreaming. This paired with my tendency to talk in my sleep. Seems to really make quite interestins conversations.
This actually made my friend. Not even try to ask me to do stuff until I respond multiple times. Because I have been completely asleep. Then responded to a question saying something like “oh yeah absolutely. I’m gonna get right on that. No problem. Don’t worry about it. “ While being completely asleep. Probably responding to these things that she’s asking me to do. In the dream. I probably did even do them in the dream. I wake up having no memory of those requests. She tells me that dream me will gaslight her so that I can keep sleeping. 😂

Interesting, not my experience- I've never talked anything but BS. (inb4... WHILE ASLEEP, OK?!)
Maybe you should get a sleep recorder app that triggers by sound and listen back. Knowing your fondness for voice-memo posting, I'm beginning to question if you perhaps have undiagnosed narcpostlepsy...
Throwing my hat into the lucid dreaming ring, IMO 2 tools are invaluable:
- Good earplugs. For me, standard rubber work better than foam or mouldable.
- An sleepmask that can block out all light. Mine has gel you can mould to gaps near your nose bridge to fully block.
When you wake up early and can afford some extra shuteye (for me it's usually a cat wanting fed, for example) get straight back to bed, preferably with no exposure to bright light, lie straight on your back with earplugs in and eyemask on. 7/10 times I'm launched into wildly lucid dreams which are easily recalled on reawakening and have experienced a marked uptick of 'dream with in a dream' or 'false waking' using this method. A good sleep schedule really helps when initially learning how YOU lucid dream, but after you establish that they can be cultivated quite easily/ readily with few prerequisites. Regular meditation seems to help it flow nicely, gentle breath focus with less distraction and easier to fall back under. Now that I do this on the regs, I went from maybe >20 truly lucid dreams between age 15 and 28 to losing count. Easily 3X more since doing that though, weeks of lucid dreams.
Something intriguing to me lately, is dream-architecture. A lot of the time, the lucid dreams I'm in will take place in a boarding school type locale, a big sprawling mansion-esque place where rooms lead to rooms lead to rooms with little to no discernable repetition. A shopping mall type area where the storefronts are linked, or a sort of burrowy outdoor thorn/ bush dwelling with the same features. Very often, despite a 'procedural' floor plan, I can tell it's the same place and that I've been there before.
My theory ATM is that it may be to make the discontinuity of dream logic affect the areas less? I don't get surprised as much by jarring transitions between two very disperate biomes, for example when you're biking on a cliff-edge then all of a sudden about to enter an igloo...
Have you experienced anything that you can relate to in the above?
:edit:Your complimenting weed while asleep made me wanna add- I had this homie and he would pass out on the sesh quite a lot. Anyway, the same way a dog will run in dreams as if chasing something, we found that if we blew a few bongs at him in succession when he'd passed out, that quite often his fingers would start working the air as if rolling a spliff! Usually a dopy sleep smile accompanied. Loved it.

Thats wild man
You are the Dream Whisperer.
I think Ive had like 1 conversation with my Ex when we were together. I had no memory of it. Just that one time.
Your experiences remind me of Edgar Cayce, ever heard of him?

I haven’t heard of him before. I kind of wish people asked me those kind of questions now though. Wonder what I would’ve said.
