good to know, i was also misting like 3 times daily up until now with a really fine mist and i guess i will continue with it since all of my cakes are pinning now and i've heard that dryness leads to aborts

oh yeah, i've read that like a week ago+ and when i gave a new cake FAE 3 times a day it was all white in like 3-4 days i also put a thin coir layer on it because i think the thicker it is the less air the myc gets / and on one cake i put like 8mm layer and it's still colonizing to this day since 5th lool not even 50% colonized yet

I've been off struggling with maintaining fruiting conditions. I believe it started with restricting FAE as per OP. Then I got in my own way trying to avoid that very thing by taking "give it time" to neglect. Followed by angst over-corrections and reverse to overly wet
I increased FAE and that has finally brought some change. Hopefully it's not too late to overcome any damage my noob noob dumb has done... how do my odds look?
2 weeks basically stalled with little myc regeneration. Start of 3rd week my untrained eye saw primordia changes. And 3 more days to pics

Its looking good now. Looks like you got the idea now Just make sure not to over-saturate your cakes with mist. You want them moist not drenched. Nice work thus far

My cakes looked just like that before they started pinning. Now I'm on my 3+ flush...

You might find they weren't fully colonised on the inside...
I've had very similar and it all turned out well when they were just left alone for a bit (with a little gap for FAE and a twice daily check on surface conditions).
Even had one where all the cakes looked great before dunk and roll and even had few small pins before birthing. They were all colonising at the same speed (or so it looked like). When going into the water tub it was like they went backwards! There wasn't really any new myc growth, no knots/pins or anything. They were rolled in verm and looked the same as when freshly rolled for about 2 weeks. After the first week I chopped one in half to check the inside and it was about as colonised as you can get.
Suffice to say, they were just slow. After the 2 weeks little pinhead white bumps started appearing and then flourished into pins.
I'm sure you'll be fine if you give it a bit of time
