i was lucky enough to try this and break through once using something like a 10x on leaf material using a higher powered torch lighter but this was back in 2005 or so maybe and it was a really interesting experience. i think once was enough for me

Yea salvia is wild. Surprised it was legal for so long. I've done it maybe 5 times.

I think a couple online stores sell it still. Maybe try an online search.
I was thinking of growing and eating fresh leaves. From what Ive heard, its the best way to ingest salvia.

yes it was never good as in pleasurable, but i remember being on my knees byy the window and took a huge rip, help it in and then getting warped to a strange world at like warp speed and i vaguely recall an experience with a green colored entity that was female in gender... i didn't really have any deep or profound takeaways though

I used to like visiting Minecraft dreamland and becoming inanimate objects but that is now just a passing fancy.
The 1st time I tried it I was driving at a high rate of speed...... definitely not recommended and was a very stupid idea(had no idea what the effects would be)

Did anyone else get uncontrollable laughter? I took two fat rips off a bong of salvia 10x and while i didn't break through or anything, the entirety of everything I was seeing was made out of triangles. You me and everything in the universe were composed of triangles. Hard to explain. But the thing is i burst into laughter 1 minute into the trip and could not stop laughing for almost 10 minutes straight. I actually thought I was going to suffocate from not being able to breath from laughter.
In retrospect, dying from laughter wouldn't be such a bad way to go.

If I'm not mistaken Salvia is still legal in several states. I would more than welcome some if I ever get my hands on it again. It was the first psychedelic I ever did and all of a sudden Goa trance made a lot more sense 😁 I love how wonky and weird it is; the most epic breakdown of reality I've ever experienced. Although reality can drastically warp with DMT, Psilocybin, and LSD, those all made much more sense than Salvia. My salvia experiences make no sense. The groceries took me to the store one time. I love it.

I smoked a bunch back in it's legal days. Actually looked for some on the interwebs a while back and couldn't find anything that looked like a legit source. Easier to find dmt on grey market sites it seems.

One friend (over 50) that I turned on kept spreading her arms with her hands flat over the table and kept saying "everything is flat, very very flat"
another friend (prob 44) minutes later had her turn and she stood spread-eagled with her arms at each side of an archway behind her (separating living and dining room) and her feet against the baseboards going "whoa, whoa, thank you".
her husband then left the building.

I've never tried any extracts, it was illegal by the time I wanted to try. I did buy some rooted clones the other year I was able to propagate for a while. I ended up killing them after a little less than a year.
I've been wanting to buy some more and try again to experiment with salvinorin A extractions. It looks similar enough to dmt extractions so I already have some of the chems I'll need.
When I had the live plants I tried oral doses and smoking. Smoking the dried leaves just made my body hot and itchy, head a little fuzzy. Absolutely no effect otherwise. Oral experience was worse, took a massive bundle of 20 fresh leaves and packed them in my lips and tried chewing/sucking them for 45 minutes laying in the bed in the dark with no effects.
Terrence mckenna recommended taking it orally to not offend the spirit. He said he was flying through pink hyperspace after half an hour, I'm not sure what I did wrong. Maybe I didn't suck the leaves enough, they were very bitter. Either way, I'd like to get another live plant so I can do an extract of salvinorin A crystals

Don’t just suck the leaves, you have to chew them and eat them I think? 20 leaves seems like a decent dose afaik

You couldn't pay me enough to do it again. For most people it tends to be like that, it's just not a pleasant, fun, entertaining or enlightening drug. Places still sell it, but it isn't popular for that exact reason.

My speakers looked like mouths singing the Portishead song that was playing. My room became encircled by roman style pillars and I melted into the chair. Ended up also in the bathtub as a poster above me mentioned. Wasn't really a good or bad experience, was just a fucked up experience

When I was younger, about 15 years ago, a couple of my friends would buy it for me because they thought it was hilarious watching me. Like someone else said above, several times I would laugh uncontrollably for 10-15 minutes straight. Can’t remember most of the trips now but one that I do remember, I was running around the yard and into the house with absolutely zero balance because my view of everything were as if my head was on my foot and flipped 90 degrees. Definitely wild times though.

i think salvia doesn't really compare to DMT which is really adrenergic with fast vibrations, shivering etc
salvia is basially an opioid receptor agonist so while feeling very strange, it's not as stressful even at "breakthrough" doses
i'd choose salvia over DMT any day

I was in a world full of card people all marching up and down pushing against me so I got up and went with them. Eyes were opened but I couldn’t see anything of his reality. Just endless twisting lines of marching card people.
When I got up against a wall I stopped and started questioning why I was there, how I got there, and how do I get out? They all started piling up because I stopped.
I came to with the bong water spilt in my lap (had to check to make sure it wasn’t pee) and repeating “what the fuck” over and over.
It was horrible.
Although looking back I feel it was showing me what I know today. I do not do well coloring within the lines so to speak, or going with the flow. It is not for me.

that's true. a friend was trapped in a couch for eternity and didn't dare to touch psychedelics for years
still i think DMT is stronger/"worse", messing with the serotonin system and all

It's always fun to see such mixed reviews of Salvia whenever one of these threads pops up!
Still legal in New York State as far as I know... There have been several attempts to ban it but I don't think it made it all the way through the legislature, governor's desk, and into law.
I love it. My last experience involved a direct interaction with the Salvia "entity," a primordial female who explained that to interact with her was to interact on "the world creation level," because she is a world-creator (and world-destroyer, I presume).
It's certainly not a toy, not a plaything or shot of booze or hit of weed. Especially when using extracts. To form a relationship with it, start with very small amounts and work your way up. It's definitely possible to become more accustomed to the heavy "warping" of time and space that is usually induced.

earlier in this thread https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28641156#28641156 you can download the PDF which shows the whole thing

and this is my smoking kit which I carry around some times - the bits of cigarette paper burn very quickly, ~1 second and are very effective. always a regular lighter - no fancy rig.

You may have to go to Sierra Mazateca in the state of Oaxaca in Mexico to get it. But from the descriptions of DMT, and the ease of access to DMT Vape Pens on the interweb, you may as well just go with that.

Last time I used it was 15 years ago and I threw out what I had after using it a few times.
I had been thinking about possibly trying it again for the past year or two approaching it with the respect of an entheogen. I'm kind of wondering if all the experience and knowledge I have gained since when I tried it as a youngster will make a difference in what I get out of it.
I just bought some plain leaf and 10x a few weeks ago but when the opportunity presented itself but I haven't decided if or when I am going to try it, but at least I have a little on hand if I ever feel I get the call.

it's only 15 minutes total, so take a single small toke of your 10x with a regular lighter, and they you will know if you like that. titrate up only if you feel the need.
most to the error with this and other psychedelics is people think they are supposed to put the pedal to the metal, but that idea is not the only way to go.
