Iam still a rookie at this. But you can bust my balls, I like to learn. My montub is fully colonized, and I was wondering if pulling the micropor tap off the small holes on the bottom of the monotub is better than leaving it on. I have left it on previous cube. I have also pulled 1 or 2 of the larger filters on the lid. Any advice on this? Thank you.

Pic of the tub would help determine the current surface conditions and if it needs more or less FAE.

Those tinny holes are my question. Remove some of the tap and leave the big ones on the lid.

To me it actually looks a little dry. I can see any moisture beads built up on the surface. Have you been fanning or misting it on a regular basis? I would give it a good mist from nice and high up to boost surface conditions. You want thousands of tiny beads on the surface but not so much that it pools. Than close it up and let it do itβs thing. That looks to be a lot is holes for a container of that size. I would actually close some of them up to raise the humidity in the thing as well. Do not fan at all and only must to keep the surface conditions proper. Other than that the sun looks healthy and colinized wonderfully. What type of mushrooms are you working with?

I mist it 2-4 times a day. It has the water beads, the picture wasn't that good. All of the holes are covered up. I was just wondering if removing some of the tap on bottom would help the FAE. My concern is contamination. That why a small chunk of the corner is missing. Caught a case of Trig, and I neutralized it whth hydrogen proxcideand removed thw sub. This strain is Tidal Wave.

Crap I didnβt even notice the missing corner.

If your needing to mist several times a day then thereβs too much air exchange going on. With a ez dial setup like I linked there basically set and forget for me. Spawn to bulk then leave it be till first flush. The mycelium will crest the proper surface conditions on its own if itβs dialed in good and on point.
Hopping you got all the funk out with that corner but if it become visible on the surface itβs usuall spread through the sub as well by that time.

Max yield bin?? Someone gave me a few, I taped all holes in the short sides, taped over all but three on the long side- spaced out. Taped over big holes in the lid, used 2" filter disks for one hole on each end. Trying to run them like ez-dials. Still trying to dialing them in.

May need to close up some holes fully with a non breathable tape. MP tape still allows a good amount of air through. Little piece of painters tape is what I use to close holes and dial in my ezdials.

You had success with that? I grabbed one to see if it compares to the dialed tubs, haven't used it yet...

Definitely wouldn't pay the price for'em, but taking the lid off for harvesting is nice. Wouldn't run'em stock, but with painters and/or micropore I make it work.
