Anyone Tripped in a lightning storm?

Today I had planeed to trip at a nice big park to watch the Canada Day fireworks. Currently, it is raining heavily and there is lightning and thunder like mad! It might clear up by tonight, but if it doesn't, would anyone recommend going ahead with the trip or should I cancel?
Anyone with experience in a similar situation? The plan would be to be outside the whole night.
Thanks

Same situation here..except for a lack of cubies.. In my experience tripping out in a thunderstorm was completely AMAZING and I would recommend it, especially if you normally enjoy thunderstorms. I'd just try and make sure you also have some shelter available, as not everybody enjoys getting soaked.

I recently tripped in a thunderstorm.. No visible lightning, just thunder. It was very relaxing, as pretty much anything in nature is.
It's always good to feel safe and secure while tripping, so if you are gonna be out just make sure you have cover available like the person above me suggested..

I just tripped a few nights ago on san pedro. we were right near the beach in long branch country. I had just hit my peak when it started raining, the storm passed over us in about 15-20 minutes with no thunder or lightning, but when it made its way over the water it gave us a pretty impressive light show. it was on the 2nd so at first we thought it might be just fireworks, but what I saw was way more beutiful then any firework show I've ever seen. the way the lightning would light up the clouds causing them to change bright colors in front of a dark sky backround looked absolutly amazing.

I tripped during a huge rain/thunder and lightning storm. It was pretty crazy and we all got absolutely soaked obviously but no one seemed to care, it was a pretty good time and eventually we were running from tree to tree to avoid getting soaked.
I would definately recommend it, also meteor showers are awsome!

I have never personally tripped in a thunderstorm and never thought about it until now. That sounds pretty interesting, although in my part of the country lightning is generally rare (except in early spring). Usually it is one big cloud over the sky, with minor drizzle all day...
If I knew a huge thunderstorm was coming, I would definetly give it a try. Of course, I wouldn't be out in a field with a tinfoil cap on or anything. I would be sure I was safe and dry...

I've never tripped during adverse weather, but I have tripped under extreme conditions. I once tripped during a field problem in Graffenweir(Sp?), Germany on a night when an artillery unit was doing some night firing practice about a mile away. The boom of the guns was loud as shit and when the shell hit dirt it shook the ground where we were at. Add that to the flickering light of a diesel stove and you feel just like you are in battle or something(I've never been in battle so I don't know for sure).
It all added up for one really cool trip.

Personeally, i love tripping out in the woods with a nice big fire and a grill to cook up some awesome steak, and some grilled potatos and green peppers.

I watched a thunderstorm on mushies once. I saw different colour lightning, and it was just amazing. There were also tornado clouds overhead and constant tornado warnings on T.V.... but it didn't get bad or scary, it just got more intense and beautiful.
One of my fellow shroomers started bad tripping though... he started talking about the world ending. I tried to talk him out of it, since tornadoes never ever happen where I live, but to no avail.
And I was just wondering... is a tornado a warning of a tornado that has already touched down? Or is it a warning of a possible tornado? Cause we didn't have one. (though it would have been cool to watch)

A tornado warning usually meens a tornado was/is on the ground, but not always.
Keep in mind most tornados are small and dont last long, and dont really do all that much damage.

I know. I've seen tornadoes here, but insignificant ones. The storm that one day was fucking insane. And the wind made this low growl, a subtle rumbling... that was the trippiest part.

I wish we got cool storms where I live. All we get is a bit of lightning. Still though, im looking forward to see what my first batch does for it.

Any amount of lightning is cool on mushrooms. Also, running at full speed through a storm in fucking intense. Shit got blurry when I was running, looked pretty cool.

Yup I know exactly what you mean, we were running through the forest down trails at full tilt during it, it was very intense.
