Tidal Wave Grow, Advice Needed, Overlaid?

Tidal wave started from spore syringe to agar, to WBS grain prepped following frank horrigans wbs tek. Spawned to properly pasturized CVG on 1/10/24. 1:1 Spawn to substrate ratio. Put the shoe box lid on to colonize.
And then started fruiting conditions on day 3.
This is the fastest mycelium I've ever seen grow. It appeared to fully colonize the substrate in 2 to 3 days.
It was growing up and creating what looks like cauliflower. And put some gloves on and pressed on the fluffy parts and it is very tough like a black widow web pretty much hard. So not sure what to do I've had in fruiting chamber and misting as usual. So not sure if this is overlay and I need to do something with it to fix it or maybe it will just pin right off the top.
I added a casing layer around 1/20 and it just grew right over the casing layer and continuing to grow higher and higher. Never seen anything like it. Tidal wave is a cross of penis envy and b+. I've never grown penis envy so don't know if this is a trait of the genetics or what.
Picture of WBS jar before spawning to bulk

Picture of tub 2 days after spawn

Jan 15th, 5 days after spawn 2nd day in fruiting Light casing layer of CVG applied when put into fruiting chamber.

Jan 18th

1/22, 50/50 casing layer applied picture here on 1/23 taking over the casing layer

Pictures today. Lower tub is the 2nd one I spawned on 1/19 of tidal wave form G2G transfer of same spawn from the one on 1/10. The 2nd tub doing the same thing. The 2nd tub I spawn with a 1:2 spawn to sub ratio instead of a 1:1. To see if there was a different in performance. Any advice would be appreciated. I've seen someone talk about forking over an Overlaid casing layer, at this point I am harvesting other cambodian tubs today I started the same day as the tidal wave tub so I think I should be seeing pins by now.

Iβm gonna assume contamination. Those jars IMO didnβt look the hottest.

Stroma maybe? Whatever it is itβs the best example Iβve seen on here. How does it smell?

Funny looking mycelia. It looks kinda cool, haven't seen mush like it. Before tossing anything like stated above. Cut into the mycelia a little, does that stain blue?

It smells good. The jar smelled good and healthy, tough to break up because the mycelium is like a black widow web very strong, and the agar growth looked healthy as well. I'll try cutting into it and see if it bruises. Haven't seen any clear instructions for dealing with overlay, if that's what this is. I'll search some more or wait for more insight here. I'll follow back up with what happens after cut into it. I did actually pull a few of the raised areas off with a gloved hand to see what would happen, those areas where I pulled off are areas currently that don't look like cauliflower.

Have you ever grown this strain? Could be that the FC is slightly different from your previous grows. Iβm curious to see what happens in the picked areas. Iβve read a bunch of threads about this happening today. Some people had success, some didnβt. It all seemed to come down to FC conditions and how bad the overlay was. I did read a few where people did basically what you did with picking some off, adjusting their FC and had pins a few days later. Keep us posted and thanks for sharing

Ive not grown this strain before first time. I found a site taking about overlay and some troubleshooting tips I'm going to try them. I already pulled off more of the top layer an hour ago by hand then took some sharp mini scissors and scratched in some lines. Feels wierd butchering it up like that but I guess it makes sense if the surface if Overlaid then the mycelium is dead there. And moisture or air can't get down to the cake.
Tidal wave tub, Scratched

But I think I'll go back to it and use a fork and get some more grooves in it as explained in this link here.
https://shroomok.com/en/wiki/Psilocybe_growing_problems_-_overlay,_abortions,_etc
Soak it in cold water for a an hour or 2 after that. And then apply some more 50/50 casing and resume fruiting conditions. And see what happens. I was excited to get some stronger strains going rather than Cambodian. I've had porblems getting A+ and B+ going. And had some pan cyan tubs that turned out to be cubes the vendor sent me some free replacement Liquid culture syringes. So I've started some new jars of A+, B+, and Pan cyan.
Harvested 2 Cambodian tubs today had some good luck getting good genetics a few months ago. Have had great success with these guys I wish I had better luck with the stronger strains though. I've done everything the same for all strains except pan cyan do things a bit different. I grew several strains years ago with success following the same methods. It must be bad luck on genetics from cultures and syringes not sure.
Cambodian tubs pin set (same substrate and put together same time as tidal wave tub same fruiting conditions)

Cambodian tubs today, about 850grams wet from 2 shoe boxes pretty healthy harvest 1st flush. Can't complain about that.
