Lid dealer

Simple question. Anyone have any recommendations on where to buy prefab lids? I made some a while back and it was not an enjoyable experience. I'm pretty busy so I'd rather just buy some already made for LC.

Found a couple on Amazon but said they "rust" or only good for one use.

Not terribly hard to make but if you don’t feel like it , Shroom supply( site sponsor) makes a good one. 👍

Not an answer to your question, but a suggestion though: polyfill works very great for me. I assume you don't like the silicon work or the micropore tape work. I have both and actually getting more fond of the polyfill technique (drill a hole, stick and pull polyfill through it, done). Works fine for me to use also as injection port.

yes, your assumption was correct. giant pain in the ass with the RTV. Then my OCD trying to get it to look perfect took even longer. not to mention it took almost a week to cure for some reason.

I may go back to polyfill. had success using it with Pf Tek method.

I do must say I immediately, after PC-ing, I inject via those polyfills. Not sure what happens if I'd leave it standing for a few days, and then inject. Anyways.

Oh and mine (the silicon) is always dry the day later. Not sure whether you then use the correct silicon. Anyways 2.

I found the tape discs and injection ports on the world’s largest online retailer. Much easier than messing with poly. I did 24 lids in about 30 minuets. Drill two holes in each lid, pop in the port (which is flared so it stays in) and stuck micro over the other hole. You will likely find lids on there prefabbed as well.
