It has a lot of the exact same products on Amazon for a fraction of the price, I still have my Amazon prime for next day deliverys and brand name stuff, but anything I can wait a few weeks for I order on temu now
Amazon 21700 rubber holder was $17 on temu it was less than $2
But you need to order $25 to ship so I ordered multiple finds case, a loupe (also on Amazon for like $15 or $20) a razer holder and multiple glasses cleaner all for the same price as on Amazon for the case and loupe aline
I also noticed a head massager on Amazon for 10-20 on temu for less than 5
It's crazy how much Amazon costs for Alibaba junk

Yeah just a Chinese seller, but easy to use and supposedly the packages come fast enough but I not sure
I never really figured out the other ones like AliExpress and I don't know that date one, and never really searched wish

I don’t use fast fashion. Shein is terrible for the environment. I’m skeptical of how these Chinese products manage to be so cheap. It’s usually at the cost of workers rights. So no, I don’t use it.

I've window shopped sooo much on Temu for household goods, but haven't actually ordered yet. When I do I'll report back to this thread.
I am sure that they're harvesting info and data, their business model just doesn't work otherwise.

It's basically AliExpress, wish is complete garbage, dhgate has some nice knock offs. In fact I've gotten better quality things from aliexpress in many cases. Not that that is an endorsement.
Temus prices cannot be beat especially with their promotions and coupons... But do not, I repeat. Do not let those coupons and promotions entice you into ordering things just for the sake of using them... You won't be happy with the results.
It's trying to be an Amazon clone... But the quality is a step down. But not for everything, some things are literally a clone of what you would get on Amazon. It all depends on what you are buying.
I wouldn't trust Temu for anything where quality really matters, anything too technological, and make sure you are reading the descriptions really well before you order anything.
If you just order willy-nilly you are likely to be disappointed in about half the things you receive. Stay away from clothing, unless you can find a trusted seller.
It's a great place to get cheap things cheap. But I still buy most things from Amazon as you can trust the quality more and the return process is so so much easier.
The return process is the number one reason I shop at Amazon honestly, number two being quick shipping. So if you do get something you are unhappy with you can you return it with convenience and speed and have a replacement there almost immediately.
Shipping times at temu can be kind of random. You might end up waiting a month. It might be there that week.
Just be careful with anything with moving parts, anything where durability matters, anything where fitment or being built to spec matters.
Everything you get is likely to be a little bit smaller and a little bit crappier than you anticipated. Reviews mean nothing.
The rate you end up with unusable garbage basically balances out the price difference between Amazon if you aren't a savvy shopper... And in that case the time invested barely makes it worth it.

I never knew I needed this, I think I'll just add stuff to my cart all month and then when I have $25 to get free shipping check out

My theory: we have been shipping China our plastic for a long time. I believe they are selling it back to us.
Won't be using TEMU either, it screams sketch.

Evidently, there are major environmental, social, economic and geopolitical concerns attached to this business model. At the same time, it's kind of hard to escape it, because lots of those commodities are made in China anyway, regardless of where and how you purchase them. The main difference is that the logistics are handled differently if you buy from a 'domestic' shop, and someone else also gets to make a buck on it. You remove everything "made in China" from your home and I'm sure you'll wish for it to be brought back again in no-time.
Truth is we're "addicted" to 'made in China' - or, put differently: at a worldwide scale we basically relocated much of our manufacturing to East Asia, a process that started around 1960 or so, and has only accelerated since then. I do believe it's time to re-assess this macro-scale division of labor and start rebuilding and nurturing the domestic competences of R&D, manufacturing etc.

Much of it really isn't garbage, but I suppose it depends on what you purchase. I mostly buy electronics components and modules. The quality on those is generally excellent, if they're not in fact the exact same parts as manufactured and sold in the west (which is often the case). There are some knockoffs, but even those are generally quite functional and offer excellent value given their very low price point. Out of the hundreds upon hundreds of purchases I made, there have been maybe a handful issues with items not received , items not up to spec or DOA. In all cases when I appealed the case for a refund, I was granted one. To my surprise, customer support on AliExpress has always been surprisingly forthcoming from the perspective of the buyer (I imagine it must suck ass to be a seller there in this sense).
I can't comment on clothes etc. apart from some, let's say, "private apparel" for the girlfriend which was indeed the kind of expendable low quality you'd expect at this price point. Still, even that stuff was very much the same gear you buy here in the West, but at a 2000% higher price point (not even exaggerating the numbers).

I wouldn't buy anything you put in your mouth from these stores, a redditor lead tested a children's toy from Temu and it tested positive for lead, so wevn though they have a cool hydroponic herb grower there, I will not order it because I'm worried about lead

I got a handful of things I wanted for cheap but don't plan on ordering again since I got all the little things I wanted.
Here are a couple things (bag for my switch, game case, little carrying case for tools and stuff which I am using for joycon repair purposes, and some random stickers)

I wish I seen that first case you posted with the stickers, I ordered a cheaper case for like $1 or $2 but that one looks much better, to put some jewlery or other small keepers in when I find it in the field

gopher they sell those at dollar stores in the art supplies area.
When I was wrapping wire and had a bunch of lil crystals and beads, i used a tacklebox- basement find, and it worked great.

This cat fountain just arrived, it actually works, I haven't seen my cats use it yet, but I've seen the dog use it
I wish the water makes a trickle noise, but I can't even hear it running, I have to visually see it to know if it needs a top up
I only bought it because I got it on a 90% off deal, so I only paid a little bit for it, I think it was a normal price of 30 Canadain dollars
