PE fruiting and possible contamination

Hello!
Its my first time cultivating PE’s and I keep on finding contradicting info online regarding fruiting conditions. Some places say 69 degrees F, some say 82. Can anyone here give me a straight answer please?
Right now I am on my 5th day into fruiting and the temp has been fluctuating between 75 and 77. I have been misting and fanning twice a day and just recently (today) got a light for the space I am growing in.
My other question is, is this tub contaminated? See attached pictures. I used manure as a casing layer and it was fully white when I switched it over to fruiting. However, these brownish yellow areas began to develop. I am unsure of what to do or if I should scrap this tub and begin again.

Cubes will fruit just fine if you are comfortable. We have people that grow between like 50f to 80f. The lower you go, the slower it is. The higher you go, the faster. If you go above about 75f or so, bacteria starts to love it and can spread a lot quicker though. Most people don't go higher than like 80 tops because of this.
I run between 70-75f, and quite a lot of people here do as well. If you want a concrete answer, or just an answer that is guaranteed to work, there you go.
Your tubs surface is already matting and that's likely because of the drying out and misting over and over. Mycelium tends to mat up when it goes through cycles of too wet and too dry. It's possible it's bacterial as well, it definitely has that creamy mycelium look that you typically see. What was your spawn like and how was it inoculated?
The yellowing is the the mycelium reacting to the conditions and drying out.
Is this a shoebox? If so what is the lid situation like and why are there holes?
I'd stop fanning and reduce fresh air exchange to start. Only mist if the surface is completely dry, not on a schedule.
Welcome to the shroomery.

I used a spore syringe in rye. It colonized very quickly which I thought was awesome as I have been told the PE is very picky.
It is a shoe box and I have only been having it with the lid turned upside down. I made some holes to make sure there was some sort of circulation because I have it in an area of the house that doesnt have any air flow at all.
Thanks for the advice and the kind welcome. Cheers!

The substrate looks dry. Cover the holes with tape and put the lid on. You want to see tiny water droplets on the surface.
That is very thick myc. Not sure if it will fruit or not. There might be a couple of knots in there, but again, hard to tell.
Syringe to grain is a bad idea. Either follow pf tek with the syringe or start to use agar before grain.
You got pretty darn lucky to get this far with a syringe to grain, and hopefully you will get some fruits.

Update!
I forked the myc and got rid of a thin slice of the top layer of the cake and I got pins the second day after.
Ten days later I harvested my first 26gs.
Just finished dunking my cake and am waiting for the second flush.
Thanks for the advice guys
